mick miller
Had a bit of time on my hands this afternoon so thought I'd knock one of these antler priests up, this is my first attempt at making one. Fallow antler, drilled and opened up at the hammer end, then I melted a few old lead fishing weights in a pan and poured the lead into the antler. Once cooled I added Buffalo horn caps top and bottom, shaped and polished these. Then I drilled the hole for the landyard, oiled the antler with Danish oil, another final polish and then finally I added the landyard finished off with a landyard knot. All in all I'm quite pleased with it, makes a change from walking sticks and staffs, I just need to get out and use it now!

mick miller
Hmmm, I could do... not sure what to charge though, probably about £20 posted by the time I factor in time & materials. That may change your mind eh? :good:

It wasn't the straightest bit in the shed, but I didn't want to use one of the really straight bits in case I cocked it up (no pun intended)...
