samgreenwood
hi guys Target sports, bolton. Heard some rumors along the grape vine about target sports closing down not sure if it’s true or not but i haven’t been able to get through over the phone to them. good luck to who ever gets the building after them i was part of the team who re-modeled the inside and outside of the building when they first moved in and you would not believe some of the problem we was told to cover up, from cracks in brick work to subsidence, damp and dry rot. If anyone needs any more info where the problems are I could probably remember most of it.

You can tell them all you like Lez. The Bolton shop has closed and the Manager himself put the sign in the window many weeks ago with the closing date so why he should deny it beats me! Rumours abound as to WHY they closed but close they have. You might want to try buying something from them that can only be sold by a RFD if you get my drift Check the website for clues. Bet the manager didn't tell you that did he. Edited September 30, 2009 by Biffo1262
bullet boy
I`ve had a few Guns and Gear from them in the past too-good service in my book!
Biffo1262
Well you certainly won't be buying any guns or silencers from them I'm afraid - mail order only - but the only info I have is from other local guns shops who say they have lost their RFD status but aren't too sure why or rather, they are, but I'm not stupid enough to repeat it here and I stress it's only hearsay. They confirm that they too have heard that Cheshre Gun Roon has made an offer but that's only hearsay as well.

Power ranger
I went to target sports in Bolton with my dad last month as he was looking for a new pcp We heard of the closure and saw some great deals advertised. First time we had been there, and was pleased with the help from the young chap behind the counter. My dad spoke to the older chap also working there about a possible part ex with his XL on a new S400, so of he went to the car to get the XL for him to look at whilst i had a browse round the shop. The older chap behind the counter started to grumble to his colegue as soon as my dad nipped out of the shop basicaly calling him a time wasting fool (he did'nt realise we came in together ! ) and the younger chap just looked at me seeming slightly embarased and said nothing ! I just bit my toungue and said nowt We ended up not buying the S400 anyway as only had it in .177 The younger chap was most helpfull, but the older boy (think he was the manager) was a bit out of date with his 'customer service', or in other words his attitude was '****' (you know, the stuff that comes out of a dogs bum). Conclusion : Ther was an other shop further down the road, and my dad ended up with his new S400 in .22 He did part ex his XL in and got 150 off the new price of the AA. Realy happy as he only paid 140 for fhe XL six months ago (A1 condition) Did'nt like the man behind the counter but this still wouldnt of put us off buying something at the right price and it all worked out good in the end My dad is made up with AA S400 so that makes me happy LOL.
