toontastic
Wow 6 of them, I've tried fishing for them in the past and always failed to catch any.
moor man
Nice one! Any pics? Tell us how you caught them. Only ever caught one before (by accident!) I believe baked in salt stuffed with fennel is good?
Fisheruk
Gut them, lay them on generous piece of foil, sprinkle with mixed herb and seasoning, dob of butter and then seal the foil and bang them on the BBQ. Watch out for bones. Works well for most fish. No need for butter with sea trout, salmon or mackerel. Watch out for bones. That's roughly how I remember a tv chef cooking them but they also put fennel in the cavity.
rich1985
Gill net across a creek the best way to catch them I find! That's how I catch them, get all sorts bass, mullet, flat fish and the odd cod. Just 6 mullet today tho. Biggest about 8 pound smallest bout 4. I've frozen them now apart from 1, I will be out again soon tho and will take pics! I only had my tone and it's like a brick with no camera! I will lay them out at home and take a pic on the iPad next time. Thanks for BBQ advise, that's how I do bass, never eaten mullet so will give it ago. Thanks
