Ricko
Hi I booked a cheap flight a while ago, followed by an even cheaper hostel(!) for Warsaw. Quick break for a couple of days, on my own. What are the must see/things to do?? Cheers Ricko

Blunderbust
Depends on what you are looking to do, are you are interested in the history side, sight seeing and the like or are you on a jolly? I have a house in Warsaw and there is a lot to do but it all depends on what you are after.
kdubya
Only been the once stayed at the polonia palace hotel which whilst a cracking hotel was a bit like a scene from a 1930's film! and the bar was frequented by a few very very discreet and fairly high class working ladies just over the road from it is the palace of culture a trip up to the viewing gallery is a must (do a search) also a must is the museum of uprising ( think I got that right) complete with a b25 liberator, food and drink dirt cheap went one night to a polish cuisine only restaurant and tried the local stuff lots and lots of meat and potato's but really nice and CHEAP, clothing though surprisingly expensive in the shopping center (looked fairly new ) over the river was a massive open air market complete with vendors selling direct from their car boots? on the way out the obligatory Cossack hat was bought, really nice place but be warned its bloody cold. labstaff
A walk around the old town which isn't actually that old as it was re built after the war. The palace of science and culture viewing platform as said is good. Kdubya, is that the slightly dodgy market in a stadium where reputedly you can buy anything including ak47's if you know where to look? STOTTO
Has no-one seen ‘Kanal’? I thought it was first released by the Polish tourist board promoting the place!
