hoggysreels
BSA Air gauges .. are they inherently inaccurate? .. if so are they more likely to under or over read the actual buddy bottle air pressure .. cheers Edited February 18, 2015 by hoggysreels
xraiderx
Both mine R10 + Ultra se Give the same reading as the gauge on my bottle When filling. Cheers Garrick
webber
Pressure gauges on air guns and filling cylinders should only be regarded as an indication of the pressure that may be present. They should not be relied on as a statement of actual fact. They are not calibrated gauges; the tolerance is quite high, +/- 5% from memory; therefore 10 Bar variation either way on a 200 Bar fill. webber
hoggysreels
Cheers for the info .. mine has a differential of minus 15 bar from the cylinder gauge reading... ideally l.need to top up from another source to see if there remains a discrepency. To verify if its the bottle gauge or the BSA gauge reading overly inaccurate .. l suspect its likely to be the BSA component, though that's just me guessing presently ... many thanks Edited February 18, 2015 by hoggysreels

When in doubt, be suspicious of BSA I think the general consensus is that they are not the most accurate of gauges.
secretagentmole
The general consensus of opinion is rely on the gauge of what is being used to fill the gun, not the gauge on the gun itself.
hoggysreels
My thoughts Exactly Chris ... l bought a Walther for reliability and its been flawless apart from the inaccurate BSA component "l suspect" ...
Guest topshot_2k
My falcon is pretty accurate, I always go by the bottle filling gauge and the my rifle gauge is always pretty spot on Edited February 22, 2015 by topshot_2k
hoggysreels
I will just take note of the bottle regulator gauge ... shame the gauge isn't made by Walther, or other German manufacturer ! ... l'd of had faith in it then .. l'd say it under reads 10 bar ... Sha Bu Le
Hoggy when you get your bottle filled (If you use a bottle) does the gauge agree with the compressor gauge when you have it filled? If yes then there's your answer.
