Had a cracking invite to join Sns on a simulated game shoot today, arrived at his at 8am and had to slum it on the journey to the shoot in his new defender...what a motor...he has added a few personal touches which make it stand out...a real head turner

This was another first for me,never had a simulated day before...all I can say is organise one, absolutely fantastic day.

I have never seen somebody shoot so fast before,Simon was on fire on a number of the stands,we were in a three man team and we both struggled to keep him loaded. The clays just kept coming with a variety of sizes including a large number which were around 50mm in diameter( 2" for all you oldies) the exploding clays put a big smile on all our faces. Had over 350 shots today in great company and stunning scenery.

Another quality days shooting...cheers simon

Firstly, I have to say Steve is a quality stuffer. Hopefully I've spelt that right...... Secondly I should add that I gave him the 'honour' of shooting first in our team of three - and boy did he set the standard. He wasn't far from his much wanted 100 bird day on the first drive. There would have be no point to photos though as most of them were reduced to dust. I barracked him as much as I could but he only missed a couple. And so it continued all day really.

I got very lucky with my shooting so did manage to connect with a few. I've never done a simulated day before and it was absolutely bloo** brilliant - I can only echo what steve says above. I would question its realism though to an actual driven day - I miss miles more on those !

I have never seen a 65 yard snipe nailed before ( he was too modest to mention his shot above I see), but the guy running the shoot insisted that is what Stevegy pulled off just after lunch with one of those 50mm jobs.

He liked my Defender so much he left his fleece in the back. I'm thinking of auctioning it off for the PW charity - offers invited.....
