  6. for sale is my harris ultralite bipod model 1A2 £45 posted, any questions feel free to ask me ive measured the leg on the bipod and they measure 12 inches extended and 8 inches collasped i guess that they call this one the 9/13 aswell also its not a swivvel type its a fixed one also the extending legs are adjustable as you can lock the extending part of the legs to suit
  7. as long as you do it by the book , dont rely on anyones elses loads as some people say heavy loads are ok in one gun but may not be good in another gun so as long as you double check everything you should be ok , dont do any reloading sitting in front of the tv as distractions can be a bad thing aswell dont go putting the full charge of powder in first , you will be better working up to the max load for the 243 , ive loaded some 243 up using cast lead bullets and 12 grains of alliant 2400 powder which isnt listed for the 243 , but they make good plinking and rabbiting aswell as close foxes main things are make sure the 243 cases are good no cracks use the right powder and make sure cases are the right lengths etc
  8. i shoot on 3 farms in northumberland all neighbouring farms aswell and yet have to ask a few more farms to see if ok to shoot on theirs aswell but guess i got about 3000 acres give or take a few at the moment
  9. yes adymorris thats exactly what i said to my self aswell
  10. well the goverment has yet done it again , VAT up to 20% well that means there is going to be a knock on efect petrol, diesel, fuel, food prices will rise as will everything else even cartridges and bullets will go up again the goverment have not thought this through in my opinion they have just jumped in and thought the only way to get back monies the previous goverment had lost is to make joe public pay it all back for them its alright for them being on the wages they get and all the expenses it dont cost them anything to live in my opinion so its true what people have said , they only look after them selves and stuff the rest of the country why cant a normal type of person (someone that has a realistic view of things not the idiots that just dream ) run for goverment , instead we had to have these idiots telling us what to do and running the country wonder how the VAT will affect you and your opinions

  12. well went out last night up in the nice sunny northumberland and ended up shooting on another farm a nice 2500 acres has never been shot on for about 10 years or so , had a good walk around and seen plenty of rabbits crows pigeons so il will be doing some good shooting i reckon so i guess i hit lucky with gaining that farm to shoot on aswell as the other two i have in northumberland
  13. try machine mart they do an ally welding kit for about 40quid you use a blow torch and wire brush to clean it and warm the ally with blow lamp and feed the ally brazing rod in to seal any holes or cracks , just a thought if you fancy doing it your self if you can hope this helps you out as ally welding is really expensive to have done
  14. cant see why not , you can still get the stuff powder and shot measures and roll crimp tools i load my .410`s that way using a powder measure and a scale i made for weighing the shot and if i got no plastic wadds i use anything else like kitchen roll and over powder cards and sometimes news paper and im one of the lucky ones ive got a propper roll crimping tool for the 410 not one of these things u stick in a drill so yes in my opinion it can still be done as long as you use the right weight of powder and shot
  15. i take 6 other lads out on to my permissions , i guess the only thing most think of these days is will they over step the mark and try and muscle in on their permissions guess thats why alot of guys wont take anyone these days incase they loose their shooting as up here in the north east its pretty hard to get any permission on any land as its mostly syndicates and own by estates some of us up here are lucky enough to get on some of the farms to shoot not saying any new shooter would try to muscle in , but a lot of guys are cautious to take anyone on shooting with them these days but i dare say a few will take new shooters with them and some wont
