  3. well i used to use cb`s all the time a few years ago until i passed my hame radio exam`s i still listen to the cb bands now and then my mate owns a shop in birtley that sell cb`s pmr antenna`s pretty much all to do with cb`s and taxi radios and others my handle on cb was the bed & breakfast man i guess some of you will know that some of the channels on cb will be phased out soon the channels are the uk 40 (27.601mhz to 27.991mhz) so there is still life on them to this day
  4. ok thanks for that f.c may be a while before i get it finished but a bit like british rail il get there in the end
  5. some how i was thinking you were going to say that im thinking of making a shot maker aswell just a matter of getting a bit of 4 inch box tubing and a few other bits to have a go at making one , oh yes il have to remind my self to get my welding gear back from me mates
  6. hello fc where do you get lead shot for 50p a kilo maybe you can let me know cheers
  7. hello all just wondering what price you chaps pay for lead shot for reloading as im thinking of reloading my own as the prices are slowly but surely creeping up and the excuse i get when asking how come the prices keep going up they tell me its because of the prices of all metals is through the roof and yet the prices of metal is nearly as low as it was a few years ago so just wondering what price you pay for your reloading cheers all
  8. i guess it will in time more so if you reload special loads like ssg, aaa, and bb which are expensive loads to buy these days
  9. looks like you had some good fun and yes those burgers and sausages look tremendous well done
  10. amateur radio talking to people from all over the world via radio sending my signals through the sky
  11. get some motorola gp300 (uhf versions) and have them programmed on to 446mhz (license free channels) you may pick some up for around 40quid per handheld off fleabay shame you not in newcastle if you managed to get any as i could programm them for you for free anyway hope you can manage to find some decent radios as these cheapchap ones are ok but you get what you pay for but they not the best build and quality
  12. hi there i usually go to the wifes mothers on a sunday and always hear the clay shooting at springwell on sundays
  13. hi lovely rifle ideal for anyone for stalking and foxing i have the earlier version the model 7 and its a brilliant little light weight rifle for carrying around all day im sure someone will snap this up ive started using homeloads in mine and working verywell even made up a light load for foxing aswell good fun aswell with cast bullets for bunny bashing aswell but good luck with the sale of this little stalking rifle
  14. ive used a fair few of these over the years in my cz452 with no problems i used them for bunny bashing upto around 100 yards no problem on thing about them is the noise shame cant hush them with moderator but always have a couple of boxes in cabinet and take a few with me as they wont come in wrong for close range foxes if i not got the 243 with me but i much prefer subsonics with moderator as you can shoot all day and the rabbits dont scare away unlike when using the stingers the stingers seem to shoot well in my cz452 there is others in high velocity you could try see if you can find best suited for your rifle ive never had any stingers misfire (yet) but hope this helps and happy shooting
  15. well i sorry if the rules are different were you live guys but here in northumbria when my fac cert was in process of being renewed which went over the expirery date of the current one at the time i phoned firearms dept and asked if would still be ok to go out with my rifles and they said no altho my cert was in process of being renewed im only saying what they told me think it was about a week and a half later when my cert fell through the letter box (it was back dated to the expirey date of the one that expired but when they said that i couldnt go out with my rifles then i didnt want to chance it as knowing my luck id get pulled for a daft spot check and they would query why i was out with rifles without a valid cert as when i got stopped with shotgun in the car that was the first thing the copper asked for he already new i had a gun in the car before he pulled me as he wasnt bothered about the car only was interested in the gun ive even still got the producer that i got (first one in over 20years) somewhere in amongst paper work
  16. not being funnny but when your fac gets sent back for renewal and say it takes three months , then why would you want to buy ammunition as you cant take your gun out without your certificate unlesss you use it in a gunclub and is kept there as i asked my firearms dept northumbria if i could still take my rifles out while in process of my cert being renewed and they NO as i wouldnt have a cert with me and that was final they said yes we are allowed to hold firearms/shotguns whilst our certificates are being renewed but cant take them out without a valid certificate as when your certificate is being renewed you dont have a valid certificate in your posession to cover you SO NO FAC CERT THEN NO GOING OUT WITH RIFLES if your feo says you can go out with your rifles/shotguns without an certificate then im sorry but if you get pulled and have ytour rifles/shotguns with you and no certificate then in reality you will be in big trouble as carrying firearms without a current certificate is a big no no just incase anyone thinks they can go out with rifles/shotguns without their certificate i would seriously think again as you could end up loosing your certificate if anyone phones their feo and they say they can go out with rifles/shotguns without an valid certificate on them then why the hell do we need a certificate in the first place !! im sure alot of you guys/girls will agree with me
  17. hello chaps well stripped it again spring is ok as so is the pins in the trigger assembly took the trigger spring out and the gun cocks easier maybe needs new trigger spring just a pity i cant get all the marks out of the stock but its look a hell of a lot better than it did covered in balck gloss paint its now a nice dark wood no bloody black paint all needs done now is a peice that had in time been broken off the fore end of the stock which had been replaced with a bit of pine has to come off aswell got a peice of nice dark wood yesterday off wifes father so just a matter of shaping it to fit il get a couple of pics of it and post on here (wish had took pics of it before i strarted to tidy it up ) also the blueing is done aswell not all rust now but cant get rid of the pitting on the underside of the spring housing but that dont make any difference to it shooting shoots nicely aswell
  18. if you want to clean the rifleing why not use a .22 bronze cleaning brush then the wool mop to polish the barrell youl be supprised how much **** the bronze brush will shift as for cleaning pellets they are a gimmick if you want to use those save your self some money and buy some ciggarrette filters that folk use when making their own ciggys theyl work every bit just as good my mate uses them in his bsa superstar and supersport hope this helps
  19. sounds like dirt in the extractor claws maybe a good soak in a very thin oil will dislodge any dirt or dust or if you have access to an high preasure airline blast along were the extractor claws are to remove any dirt or dust etc then re oil let it soak in thin oil for a day or so then another day to drain excess oil off the bolt take the bolt out of the rifle aswell hopefully that will help if not maybe you will have to strip the bolt down and clean the inside of the bolt aswell hope this helps
  20. hello all well i got this airsporter mk1 few days ago all complete only thing is that its hard to cock and have to really work the lever to make it cock whilst moving the trigger it seems as if the rod in the piston isnt long enough maybe another 1/4 inch of length on the rod would help it cock ive stripped the gun down and all seems to be good now wear on the trigger or the sears and piston rod has little wear aswell was wondering if there is any adjustment for the rod in the piston i used it the other night along at my mates house who has a fair size free hold garden and was suprised by the little gun very accurate, power could do with being up a bit more maybe new mainspring once i sort the cocking action out when i got the little gun it was in a right state (the stock) what posessed someone to paint it with black gloss paint well it sanded now only thing is apart from the knocks and scatches in the wood i may end up loosing where it has been stamped with the letters BSA hopefully i wont loose this and also going to do the blueing aswell so hopefully should get it back to at least half decent to look at its clever that the breach opens automaticaly when the cocking lever is pulled aswell so if anyone has any idea about the cocking being short please let me know thanks again all just out of daftness how much do these sell for (not that i want to sell it ) im just curious it has got the rear sight aswell which i hear a lot of them seem to get lost its in tatty condition at moment may some one can let me know what prices they go for in all conditions from tatty to pristine condition cheer again everyone
  21. i agree with martin if he has the cash let him spend it how he likes i bet if you had the cash this fella had you would have everything top of the range wouldnt we all im not the best shot in the world either but if the bloke enjoys the sport then good on him then again i dont go clay shooting so this fella must like it even if he misses loads then so what its his cash and to do with as he pleases he`s not affraid to let others see him shooting could you hit 25 out of 25 when you first went clay shooting he has went there to get better at the sport as some people dont have lands to go on and its their only option to get out to enjoy what they like doing christ i most likely couldnt hit a few of them im not scrared to admit but i enjoy my bit shooting same as the next person as martin said to me a long while ago :i couldnt shoot for toffee LOL well its life but i still get out and enjoy the sport of shooting i say good on the fella at least he`s enjoying his hobbie regardless

  23. ive got a 12 down to 410 adaptor comes in handy when rabbits are to close to use 12 guage im sure u can still get them new but expensive as the ones i seen where full length the one i use is about 1 foot long (ish) got mine off fleabay before they went daft and stopped people selling stuff like that
  24. if the tubing is of decent thickness maybe you could drill through and use a long nut and bolt or maybe if anyone near you got welding gear could weld some a couple of bits of angle iron (thin stuff) on to them for you just a thought
