  1. sorry - i should have written 'fixed magnification and/or parallax' i was tired when I wrote that! It's a great scope for outdoors but the range is short so I need someone to grab this so I can go get a parallax adjustable scope really. I'm thinking about a fixed because I hate faffing around in the outdoors for my shots.
  2. As above, is brand new. Has one slight nick in the anodising due to my safe but this is coated in black enamel to be almost invisible. Looking for something with lower power really as moved onto a shorter range. These are £79 brand new and this is about 4 weeks old. Comes with box and cleaning cloth etc. Red or green illumination and 1 MOA at 100 yards clicks on turrets. Birmingham. Looking for £50 ono or swaps. 07920291210
  3. Will accept any offers on these. Prices are based on basic google searches. WILL ALSO ACCEPT A 9mm FLOBERT GARDEN GUN IN SWAPS!
  4. As title im in birmingham. Need some mounts so i can get out shooting! Any weaver/picatinny base 1" will do if they high or you also have a riser. For a flat top ar15 Cheers 07920291210
  5. No, I have FAC approved 240 acres of land. But I can only shoot it near dusk or morning due to stipulations by land owner. I want FAC land I can shoot over in the middle of the day but would be willing to have a lot less acreage as a sacrifice. I am waiting for my FAC (i had one, but revoked it when I moved to shotgun from target shooting many years ago) which already has my larger permission on as good reason, but would like to have some land I can use without time stipulations/having to use night visior or lamping. None of my friends have any FAC rated land for the middle of the day - hence my offer on here. I thought it was quite generous allowing people to meet and use each others land - obviously I was confused as to the idea of community that used to be commonplace on this forum.
  6. I hav a 240 acre permission which is best accessed at dusk or early morning. Lots of foxes, birds, rabbits, best suited to air or shotgun in a hide. I will let you attend my permission when you like, if I can get a spot on your permission to allow me to shoot closer to the middle of the day on my .22lr which I am awaiting my FAC for (I already have shotgun cert). We both hold on to our permissions ourselves, but we each let the other have access to them as well as well as the normal introductions to the land owner if applicable to you, to help with getting the land approved for rimfire etc. I am based in the west midlands.
  7. It's near Knowle in Birmingham/Solihull! Cheers lads. Might be looking for some help soon!
  8. SO I waited and waited for pigeons on my permission and none showed...so eventually I took a quick walk around before calling it a day and stalked up to 9 rabbits (only got one snap of two) and then found these two and followed them a whiles. Give them both 2 rounds from the semi and they were stone dead after the first, both with tight patterns to the head at a close (20 yards) range. The MPA stock came into it's own i was able to quickly reload to relieve any chance of suffering rather than rummage through pockets...I didnt even think I'd like the 2 round holder.
  9. i had a eotech replica from one of those chinese cheap deal sites (aliexpress) and it worked well for a while, but eventually the glass cracked from being re-zeroed. this was on a birmingham made M16 replica (bremmer arms) which is similar to an AR. make sure you get something tall ish because as you know the eye relief can be an issue without risers.
  10. I have seen this (if it turns out to be a split) happen to very very old (30 years +) guns but nothing newish. as an aside, I have a hatsan that was third or fourth hand when I got it. it shoots everything (and i mean everything...even hand reloads that are of questionable quality) faultlessly and has yet to have a failure to extract/fire in over 1000 cartridges, even low powered ones. guess i got a good one but i do meticulously keep it spotless.
  11. i'd probably take a few off your hands if you sold! Heres the knife I made: I carry a kabar TDI for work (it's the perfect tool for cutting these strange plastic lug things from certain lorrys when i have to check their load is legally loaded) great knife, **** retention on the holster. i also have opinels, uk legal non lockers, a gerber LMF2, buck revel (one of the best ever) and a few others.
  12. The pistol grip really adds to how 'pointable' the gun is. Plus when walking around my massive permission it's a bit more comfortable and I feel like it takes even more recoil away. It's not just for looks plus it's very chunky although the last ditch two cart holder is a bit redundant unless the dead rise up! I bought a specific mount that takes 11 mm to weaver rail and requires no drilling. It also is very flat and I think may suit my shooting position on the new stock. If not I will get a universal comb. I am researching hydro dip removal.
  13. I bought this from a very nice fella and decide I wanted to (eventually) remove the mossy oak breakup as it is looking tatty, possibly cerakote it and add some tacticool gucci features because I'm a gear tart and even in the forces I'd always want the fanciest stuff. So far, I ordered the MPA escort stock from edgar brothers through my local shop. For those wondering it's £40 RRP which is what I got it for. You may get it for less or more depending on your shop. If you buy it, you also need the shorter stock bolt which was included in the price. Fitting was a pain because the stock, although it had good access through the 2 cartridge holder thingy hole, the bolt is long through the nut so you need a very deep 13mm socket. I ended up sticking my spare spacers in too as the butt pad on the MPA stock is much slimmer than the one provided with my mark one escort. Next is a 11mm dovetail to picatinny/weaver mount for the receiver and a holographic parallax free red dot to see how this works with my gun, because I think the clay/hunting community is extremely closed off to new things (semi autos for one) and i'd like to see more sighting systems on guns appearing in these settings. And before you say it, I know a bead or rib (or nothing at all) works just as well, but there must be some benefit to point shooting with a floating red dot. Even the yanks are jumping on this with their pistols - I think there must be some advantages. I've also ordered a side saddle 6 cartridge holder for the reciever which bolts through the holes where your normal drift pins sit for your trigger group. This was from knight armory in the US. Next I want the MPA cocking handle as it's way less sharp on my fingers than the normal escort 'comma' style and is knurled which looks nice. This is £10. I also will order the newer fluted end cap for just in front of the foregrip with the swivel attached. I already have a two point bungee sling. Anyway - picture (bear in mind colour is subject to change)
  14. I've just got hold of a tiny 9mm garden gun! It's a single barrel of course in keeping with the thread. Has a similar action to those webley .410's with the bolt and in line striker. It's french and it's a really nice gun for in the garden - exactly what it says on the tin. That said, I could have probably gone for a .410 for the permission I have so if anyone ever fancies a little swappy I also picked up a very (very) old webley and scott single barrel break open 12 gauge. It's so old looking with a beautiful patina that you couldnt replicate for all the money in the world. Thing is, the barrel is *just* legal length and the thing is so loud I had to put ear plugs under my ear defenders. Big wide spread and loads of fun, external hammer and so on, breaking it brings it to half cock. I'll whack some pictures up later on as an edit as i'm at work right now.
  15. fantastic gun and brilliant bloke as most of you know. the ******* thing is LOUD though! shortish barrels and single barrel with no weight means it kicks and lets off an almighty crack. seems like a fairly open choking aswell!
  16. I sprayed my baikal (it was worse for wear) in a sort of sandy camo to match where i've been rough shooting. Even though I have a fancy new semi auto, the single is what I lean towards first. SO light and SO easy, 100% reliable with any cartridge. Only thing is, as mentioned on here already, that Baikal extra full choke will absolutely destroy anything you manage to hit with it. It's a beast.
  17. Edit: Reason i'm asking is I've just ordered an 'MPA' stock with the pistol grip but it's in black. And some of the camo is peeling already. Yeah they are pretty weak, water transfers. My friend had his wheels on his car done in carbon fibre and they wore quickly. so is the reciever white aswell? Might need to strip and cerekote mine. Anyone had experience of removing this, rather than let it fall off into hearing aid beige?
  18. So I have bought a hatsan escort semi auto and it's one of the factory dipped ones in mossy oak breakup. Just wondering if it peels, whats underneath? Do they dip a normal black escort to be camo? Or is it left unfinished? My curiosity is peaked! Not least because I take delivery of a black MPA pistol grip stock for it soon.

No shooting shops in penzance centre from what I remember. Usually go penzance every year. Have to recommend falmouth for shopping which isnt too far. There is a few good vintage shops/antiques in penzance centre. Oh and fill up at tescos on the way back it's the cheapest place
