What with all the recent posts about crayfish. I thought I might give it a go. I went into my local angling shop yesterday and asked if there were any crayfish in the area. The guy behind the counter gave me a look as if I had just urinated all over the shop!! He gave no advice at all. I have been trying to find websites that may help in locating the little blighters and found a couple fo sites but these don't seem to hold a lot of information. Does anyone know if there are any signal crayfish in the Maldon area, or anywhere in essex? Can anyone point me in the direction of a decent website/forums that has locations? I would love to take my boy out and catch some crayfish as he seems to be very interested in foods that we can catch/gather ourselves and cook. I don't mind travelling and making a day out of it if there are places a bit further out (hour or so drive). Cheers Scott

just a quick update. Just had a call from the bank and they said they are going to uphold my complaint. They will offer a full refund of the PPI amount plus 8%. They will be in touch in the next 8 weeks with the final settlement figure. If you are thinking about trying to get back you PPI then please try it on your own first as I don't think there is a need for these third party companies. I would have lost 25% + VAT if I had tried using one of them. All it took was 10 miniutes of my time to fill in a form and send a letter. Good luck to anyone else trying to recover miss sold PPI

Thanks for all of the advise. I'm going to try it on my own first and see how I get on. Just sent a letter that I got from another site. Let's see how it goes. I think there is around £2500 I can claim back :blink:

I am going to try and reclaim my PPI from a loan I had in 2007. I was pretty much told at the time I would not get the loan without it. I'm not going to use one of the companies you see advertised, instead I've got a template letter from another site and sending it off today. I have read that the bank will normally reject it in the hope that you just give up. The next step then seems to be to complain to the financial ombudsman. It appears that most cases are won once the FO is involved. Has anyone on here tried to reclaim their PPI either on their own or via a third party company?

I think you can use this to stream TVersity and you can use handbrake to convert your dvd's into just about any format you need. Both are free :good:
