  1. Well the camo netting worked and i managed to bag a few birds. I must say the roof did get in the way a bit so next time i'll try a roofless screen up against the hedge at the edge of the field. Thanks for all the tips and views this thread has made very interesting reading, cheers. Daz
  2. Hi all going decoying tomorrow and was going to set my stall out in the middle of the field. I have four hide poles and and some cammo netting. Will the birds be able to suss there is an orrible man in it with a gun? Just how good are there eyesight? will they see me through the holes in the netting? Oh well i'll find out tomorrow if the pigeons start laughing and taking the pi.. out of the daft *** sat in some netting eh?
  3. Welcome from me here in sunny Portsmouth
  4. My deepest sympathies to you and your family. Cancer is such a horrible disease. Stay strong. Daz
  5. Well said Harnser. I have have allways told my young lads n lasses that work for me that there is no such thing as a stupid question, just a stupid person for not asking and F....N up! I have found this site and most of the people on it a friendly font of knowledge!
  6. Ta. 30inch is my lengh. ooer Safe as houses then. Further to my last questin though....... as you fire oviousley there is energy caused. Does this count as electricery? ooh physics was never my strong point. An internal combustion engine works on explosions and this energy can be used to propel vehicles, heat houses, provide lighting and all sorts. Maybe i've stumbled on an alternative energy. 20 shotguns firing constantly to power my house, noisy and expensive but alternative non the less!
  7. Hi all, a stiupid question if you please? My permission has a few power cables running through. Obviousley i'm not going to be shooting towards them but are there any issues with electric arcing with me sat close to them but firing away? There is a cracking flight path but i would like to use the natural cover which is close to the power lines. What do you reckon?
  8. My car has only got two wheels! How do i attach a photo?
  9. Drink, guns, cars and motorcycles should should never be mixed in my oppinion!
  10. Cool. Makes me want to have a go Your flooring doesnt half look like mine! Daz
  11. As previously stated allways use a wire trace! In my opinion pike fishing is down to preference. Every thing that has been said on this thread is true you just need to use the method that you enjoy the most. I am going to break out the pike gear ready for the cold snap at the weekend and i'll by using plugs, lures and spinners to see what they take on the day. If pike are there and feeding though i find they will hit anything you drag past them within reason. As has been said before, stay mobile. Good luck and tight lines. Daz
  12. I'm in the RN and its a bloody fantastic idea. Do the job lads n lasses and come home safe. My thoughts will be with you all including my Booty nephew in Afganistan this christmas. 12gdaz
