  2. tryed this with both pheasants and pigeons, found it worked best with fresh cock birds for pheasants, the hens or birds that had been hung were just too soft n ended up a mess ! same with pigeon, too soft, tho mite work better with bird that had just been shot, rather than being left to cool.

  4. was out y.day using a dolly mixture of shells, 5, 6, 7.5 from 28g to 32g didnt see what i had used till cleaning up at the end of the day and there were emptys from all the size's and weights mentioned and they all had killed well using cylinder and improved cylinder, i found when starting out i was to hung up on trying different shells and changing chokes and trying out too technical styles of shooting and when i didnt work out i changed something else, now im not as cartridge fussy, rarely change chokes and try not to think about my technique as much when taking a shot, and im doing a lot better. hope thie helps, cheers

  14. cheers for the quick reply, sounds like they hold there money well, going to trial it at the weeend before making a bid, then start low n take it from there, also does any 1 know how to age a browning ? on the browning american website it gives you a list of letters and numbers to check against your serial number to get the year of manufacture, but it doesnt relate to this gun ? and the european browning site doesnt have this facility ? cheers
  15. hi guys, wonder if you could help me out, ive been offered a browning citori o/u 12 bore, its in 30" barrels, 2 3/4" chambers, multichoke ,and is in good condition with a very tight action, any 1 got a ruff idea of how much itd be worth ? cant find many secondhand on web to get an idea, cheers

  17. is there many scottish lads getting decent bags of rabbits ? theyv been thin on the ground the past couple of seasons round about my way, (compared to what they used to be)just wondering what numbers are like in other areas ?
  18. for clay grounds, you could try, north ayrshire shooting school at beith, good variety of trapsand on sight gun shop, cowans law at moscow near galston in ayrshire is also a good 1, thers also a clay club at carnwath in lanarkshire, but dont know what its like as ive never been, and a small clay grond just outside strathaven called kypeside, hope this helps.

  20. is it possible to decoy pigeons on plain old grass ? was thinking of setting of some deeks just off a flightline, i have seen pigeons feeding in the field before, on the clover perhaps ? any tips /thoughts/experiances appreciated.
