  2. renewing my fac & sgc time running out

    Hi All

     

    I sent my renewal off for both my licences a few weeks before Christmas and not heard anything until today, got a letter through the post asking for my referee forms from both my references. This is a mistake on their part as I checked and double checked that everything was in the envelope that I sent recorded delivery so now I have got to do it all again.

     

    The other thing is they have enclosed a form for one of my permissions to fill out giving me permission to shoot on there land, do I need to fill this out as this is my 3rd renewal/application after having both licences for 10 years now and I cannot remember filling this in last time.

     

    Lastly my current licences expire on 14th January so I am now worried I could be in possession of my guns without a current licence, does anyone know how I stand with this obviously Christmas has slowed the renewal down but now there misplacing my reference forms has added to the delay

    theres a good sized machinery auction i go to where the ministery men used to wait outside in the layby,they'd wave all the 4x4's and lorries in to be dipped,but they let every car pass.i've know folk there with brand new merc's etc that ran on red all the time and never got dipped.that was a few years ago.

    well I have finished ordering all the stuff and it came to just short of £300 but I did spend a bit more on a few better quality items than I possibly needed to could have shaved 50-80 quid of but thought I would go for a bit better quality as I normally find you get what you pay for (bad experience on ebay with torch from china twice gggrrr)

    I own a garage and we have done services in the last 12-18 months on more than a dozen cars ALL of which were running on red diesel i.e. fuel filters full of red diesel and they are not all old bangers either some worth more than 20k

     

    its not my problem so i just keep stum, quite a few of our polish friends run on red for sure

    I own a family run garage and we charge £28.95 for laser tracking

     

    don't bother with the national centres fit quickly etc seen some horror stories of people who have been their

     

    tyre size makes no difference to price but 19inch is max we can do. we do charge extra if everything is seized solid and need heat to free off etc as this can end up taking up to an hour or more

    hi all

     

    I bought my son a second hand (as new) air arms s140f for Christmas, we used it on xmas day no problem then I put it in my gun safe, I have just got it out to use with him and the gauge was reading empty which I found strange

     

    I went and got the bottle to charge it up for him but as soon as I open the knob on the bottle I can hear air gushing out the end of the barrel

     

    can anyone help in what may be the problem, can it be fixed today or is it a gun smiths job

     

    I must point out it worked 100% on xmas day and today is the 1st time we have tried to use it since

    Let us know how you get on with your build,I chuckle everytime I pull the trigger with mine. Nothing better than walking out into a field and clearing it.I need to get some extra mags as cant load quick enough.

    yes I will do I will post some pics etc when I get all the gear with still no idea LOL looking forward to having a go now to be honest

    I am going to build my own had some expert advise and now ordering all the bits I think it will be about £200 inc the IR and this should be able to see out to 250-300 meters so much more than I need to shoot with a 22LR

    was not too bad here in burton but it did blow a large poplar tree over down the road blocking the road and it also blew my loft hatch open which spooked my 16 year old daughter

     

    its all calmed down here today now though but no floods round here feel for some of the people on the tv especially this time of year

    Hi All

     

    can a homemade nv set up be made for much less than you could buy a ns200 off the shelf, I was looking at a topic regards lots of pictures of homemade nv set ups but now I cant find that topic again ggggrrrrrrr

     

    how much can a homemade kit be made up for, total cost and do you need to be a wizard in that sort of thing or could a complete novice like me do it who has no experience in that sort of technology

     

    or is it just better to fork out £600 and know it works correctly
