  1. I have a side by side and I shoot better with that than any other semi/OU. plus you can get a decent side by side for your price range AYA no.3 or 4 or even a yeoman.
  2. I had a hatsan was nothing wrong with just have to take the entire thing apart and give it a proper clean but saying that I wouldn't buy one again bit too rattly! But the good thing with a new hatsan is they have a 3 year warranty whereas as a second hand Remington etc doesn't! I like these for practicality and seems cheap and in good nick but I would ring up and ask a little about it i.e. previous owner, what it was used for etc. http://www.guntrader.co.uk/GunsForSale/110201170004042
  3. I would say it depends if your ever going to have the opportunity for a beaters day or a day wild fowling. If you think you may go beating on a shoot and get a beaters day I would go with over and under as semis aren't welcome on most shoots. If you think you will have a chance at wild fowling and you want a steel proof gun get a semi with 3inch or 3 1/2 inch chamber. BUT if you are only going to be shooting pigeons I would go with a semi, theres an beretta extrema on here for 450 which is a bargain or save for 500 as a few winchester SX3's pop up for that and they are awesome. Good luck with the pigeons
  4. theres an extrema for 450, which I would have if I had the cash!
  5. Look in the farmers weekly classifieds or in Home farmer magazine!
  6. Looking for a .308 moderator any thread considered as still waitimg for my rifle to be screwcut.
  7. I got the normal 10 inch ones a couple of das back for 182 from uttings outdoors, brilliant pair of boots. You would only need the kevlar ones if you was walking through alot of heather, all of the time!
  8. I have a cz 452 and cant fault it! But a friend has a sako which is nice but if you want it for practicality Id say a synthetic Cz 452.
  9. Take it you got your firearms then! I saw a .22 CZ on here for £200 the other day, should wait until one comes up instead of going down to nobhead in penrith!
  10. Leupold 30mm Quick release weaver rings, High, for sale. £45 posted. Normally £72.50
  11. I will get it all off him when he rings me back. The dogs are all KC registered, they are wormed, unsure about anything else. Ill get some pictures also.

Bitches £550 Dogs £500. Three Bitches and One Dog left ( Dog is the lightest colour) Bitch is a Deer tracking dog and Dog is a Gundog both with alot of FTCH's in the pedigree. 13. there is no slot for an allen key, its just a big black plastic **** on the end when you look at the end of it there is a metal part flush with the plastic at the end. Ill have a word with local gunsmith to see if he can take it off, I was told it unscrews off by one guy unsure if thats true! Haha Roger ye I know its a little big!
  14. I have a Tikka T3 Varmint in .308, its perfect except the bolt its like a golf ball on the end and it just looks stupid and impractical! I want to get a new normal bolt or have in modified. Anyone know where I can get a new one or who specialises in Tikka customisations??
  15. ROGER what is THAT!!! You would of been better off with a hatsan lol
  16. I once put my CZ bolt in my pocket with a can of red bull when out lamping, popped the can and went all over bolt, next day try to use completely forgetting, same thing happened, i just boiled it in scorching hot water on the hob and then took it out to dry! The metal gets soo hot its dries quickly! Since that I have learnt how to disassemble it and there is no rust etc
  17. Well, I went for the Tikka T3 in the end, the guy I was getting Xbolt off new changed his price last minute! So Im glad he did actually because the T3 is well better, considering its just going to be used for culling etc!
  18. Thanks for the suggestions, think Im gunna go with the X-bolt, as I have heard rumours of tikkas being faulty occassionally! Plus I like the safety on the Xbolt with the bolt design feature!
  19. Basically, Im buying a .308 rifle. I had my eyes on a Tikka T3 varmint .308 second hand fired 300 rounds with picantinny rail and leupold Quick release mounts for £550 although not screw cut. My other option is a brand new Browning X-Bolt .308 standard barrel, screw cut for £550. I would be using it for stalking so Im kind of thinking varmint barrel is pointless! What do you guys think in regard to reliability of the two brands etc?
  20. Thats a cheap foxing set up! Wish I hadnt taken off my .22-250 off my license I would of had this off you and then sold my .243 to upgrade to my .308.
