welcome to pw mate, whereabouts in essex are you from?

buy one of those super- soaker water guns that someone mentioned, plot up behind your van or shed, wait for both parties to walk by and let them have it! When they are fully drenched shout menacingly "how d'ya like them apples" before running off laughing hysterically. If nothing else it should make them see that a few splashes from your sprinkler is nothing to worry about really, it will kind of get things into perspective.

my wife and i had a nice stroll down to the village polling station and voted yesterday evening. Needless to say, we are both blue, through and through!
-
perhaps in the future when there is another election, the voting public should have to take some kind of intelligence test before they're allowed to vote, you know, something along the lines of '1 elephant add another elephant, makes how many elephants?' . If we already had this in place, i'm sure we'd of had a tory landslide victory!

when my best mate/partner in crime and i started smoking in the early eighties,we smoked 'consulate'. Because they were menthol we were under the illusion that our parents would not cotton on that we'd been smoking because all we'd smell of would be mint! How very wrong we were

He's been banished to sky channel 242 , where he often appears between the hours of 10pm and 4am! Please lets leave him there where nobody can hear him and his lunatic asylum laugh (p.s i like your new avatar )

i'm not sure if this has been mentioned before on this thread, but for those of you that use nicotene replacement devi ces,Boots the chemist are offering a very good scheme at the moment. All you do is go into any branch of Boots and sign up for their quit smoking course (i'm going tomorrow at 10a.m). They will charge a one time payment of the equivalent value of a single prescription (about £7:20) and will provide you with an 8 week supply of patches, gum or inhalators, whatever suits you best. You have to go back each week for a progress report and collect your next weeks supply or maybe it's just 3 times you have to go back i'm not sure, but it still will save you a lot of money. My missus said a pack of nicorette gum was about £20 for a big pack. For anyone that does not payfor their prescriptions, the service is free. A pretty good offer i thought.

now i love my fishing and i do like a good fishing programme, which is exactly what 'extreme fishing' would have been if somebody else had presented it. Jeez, that guy loves the sound of his own voice!! Sure, he's enthusiastic and the locations are stunning, but i can't help feeling that an opportunity for a first class fishing programme has been missed. Robson Green is like a five year old child that's overdosed on smarties and coca cola, i actually turned the tv over and watched a programme about the slums in india because he got on my tits so much.

still been about mate, i used to post during the day when it was not busy with my crane on site, but i changed sites in november and have been up to my neck in it and not had time to post. Even if i don't post i do look in most days to see what's going on, cheers jon

alright lads, i've been watching this thread with interest and am pleased to say that if i get through today, i will have gone a full week without smoking. I never thought i'd be able to do it and have suprised myself. I'm not saying it's been easy, but on the other hand, it's not been nearly as hard as i'd imagined. I've not had to use patches or other nicotene releasing items (yet!). Anyway good luck to all, keep it up,cheers jon

the mrs and i went to see it on saturday night. What a superb film! If you are going to watch it, it has to be seen on the big screen and in 3d. The special effects were amazing, the best i've ever seen, have never seen creatures in a film that looked so real, i can totally recommend it.
