So after decades of discuss on this topic (all over the world) , is it now safe to declare that a .177 is the best of the calibers (.177, .20,.22,.25)?

Thanks Andy,
Im pretty sure that there is no ',' or' .' between the numbers.
It specifically says CHOKE 182.
I shall try to post some pics as soon as i see the weapon again.
Thank you.

Sorry for the late reply chaps.
Bangalore to be more specific.
boomstick - Expat- as in - Anglo Indian?? No.
The hunting scene is still pretty much the same here. But good thing is lots of old antique firearms lying all over the country :-)

Hi,
I have just seen a Geco 12 bore DBBL hammer shotgun in very good condition.
The markings below the barrel have CHOKE 182 mentioned below it - any idea what kind of choke that is.
Also how is the performance of this gun.
If anyone has any pictures to share that will be nice.

Hi,
I am John from India. This is a lovely site here and i hope to both learn and contribute :-)
Sadly hunting is banned in India for almost all the animals and birds except Crows / Rooks and Rats . So thats happy hunting for us :-)

A springer should not be left cocked for more than a few mins.
A gas strut on the other hand can be left cocked for a few days also that shouldnt cause any damage.
