  2. Hi, I wonder if in here is there a good soul that could help me, I have made with windows movie maker a sort of animated photo album but my computer doesn't want to burn it on dvd, the photo movie that I made as been saved as WMV file. The question is, what type of file its best to convert WMV format into, so that I can burn it on a dvd and watch it with a normal dvd player? Any help would be apreciated Thanks Mark
  3. Hi chaps, What do you need to start up, could you do a list of tools/materials like a starting kit. I know that there is various makes but use your experience to suggest a good starting point, it will be very apreciated. Thanks Mark
  4. Hi chaps, Taking into account that I'm a complete Donkey on the subject, but is it worth it reloading your own cart for and only Pigeon shooting? How musc will a box will cost you (25 cart.)? I find it very interesting, it as been a while that I think to load my own, any help will be great. Thanks Mark
  5. Hi sparkmark, No its not true, there are many good points, first of all if you haven't land well its as a newbe its really good to join because NPPC will send you a list of lands were you can go and shoot as much as you like. Second you don't need to go and know any Farmers to ask them permission. Third I think you get BAsc insurance with the joining of the club. I think that its excellent for the annual fee needed. I use to one of the members but after a while you start to know Farmers and I got a few permissions now. So I think overall very good.
  6. Hi, When I spoked with Mr. Contento I asked about the tech. spec. of the gun, he said that he needed to see some photos and all the measurement of the gun. We also talked about the value of the gun and yes he confirmid that in England the price was £200-250, there was a lot of taxes to pay each side (day light robberies), because the gun was imported from Italy and he said that at the time was a little complicated with Italian red tape and very costly. The construction and quality of the gun was good, Mr. Contento described as midrange,All-Weather and a bit for everything. Mr. Contento English it's good as my Japanese (none) all the converation was in Italian, if you have some photo it will be interesting to take a look and when I go back to Italy I will send them to Mr.Contento if you/he agree. Cheers Marco I'm sending PM with my mobile number if you to have a chat about it.
  7. Hi There, After reading your post, I've start researching a bit of history on the shotgun that you own. What I found was quite interesting, I've called my contacts in Italy (the godfather) and manage to obtain some good leads, the internet search was not very helpfull but I found out why. Your gun its not F. Contento Prescia but is Eugenio Contento Brescia and by luck I've found the old man that building your gun in Italy, I've phoned him and after a short chat, Eugenio Contento told me that your gun was imported by Millard Bros and made between 1960-1968. Mr. Eugenio Contento was quite pleased to hear that one of his guns was still around and by the way he still in the business. Hope this helps Mark
  8. Hi, You lot should be ashamed of your untrusting attitude to wards good peple in need, You heartless people....... Cranfield you should lead by example, give the poor old lady a call and tell her how musch you/we love her. Tell her that if she wants any of our bank details for her great charity work we will always be helpfull. Dear old lady hopefully you will get cancer to your lower regions. Love Mark
  9. Hi all, As I personally know orson carte I would like to say that you not alone trust me. Remember on Saturday when we were rost shooting how many cartdriges I used to get that super difficult fast camouflaged squirrel............ yes 5 you heard 5 cartdriges ahahahahahahahaha i'm so **** sometimes, but hey did we have fun or not with the rooks. So I think that what you need its a bit of practice and a proper gun, a nice semiauto that fires like a gatling gun. In any case what counts its that we had lots of fun. Don't discourage everyone as bad days. Now comon all of you be nice to me, I only said five cartdriges to cheer Orson up That flying rat cost me a pound and my reputation Ciao Mark
  10. Hi everybody, Quick question for you all, I do see a lot of gulls around my area, I personally don't shoot them due to the fact that I can't do a stew with them. Question: Why are on the vermin list? what is a good "reason"for the kill? Why Defra is allowing all of us to hunt them? Cheers Mark
  11. Hi Martin, What type of shooting are you willing to do and with what type of gun? Mark
  12. Hi, To all Pigeon shooters and families I hope that you all have the best year of all HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008. Let the Pigeon be prosperous so that we can help the farmers to get rid of them. Marco
  13. Hi, Its always good to see that people are still taking newbe out with them, about the Bangers try to leave some working in the field nearby were you shooting it will help to keep the pigeon on the move as Cranfield said. (Don't forget to switch bangers back on if you switched any off, the Farmer would not be happy if you leave them off) Cranfield, Do string bangers working ok and how to they work , how often do they go off, for how long? Sorry for the many questions but very interested about them. Thanks Marco
  14. Gents, The restriction as been lifted, false alarm, no F&M virus found. Topgunners what are you worried about that its not your shooting ground(by the way I still waiting for that invite B) ), I should be worried, I've pemission on all the land nearby NEC, not a lot of pigeon but good for a good walk around. Cheers Mark
  15. Hi Gents, Browning totally agree, its a bit of a risk to advertize your details , but its all part of the responsibility game as I said before. Martincavie no words for you, its better if we put a stop to our discussion that I think its going out of contest. Deadeye Ive has a very good point, at least not everybody agrees with the man from BASC(delmonte). Cheers Mark
