  1. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! deers, they'll kick your ***! i bet that hunter was a bit embarrassed? why didnt he just jump on it and wrestle it to the ground? if the deer had decided to use its antlers i think hed be in a bit more trouble? :(
  2. yes parts are riddled with rabbits and we have a very healthy population of pigeons to, as i write this i can count about 20 in the field behind my house!!! and we have plenty of pheasants and even a few grouse i think ive seen (at a distance) shall i build a massive signal fire??
  3. any one on here from the isle of wight???
  4. After carefully reviewing all the pictures (and trying not to drool on my laptop to much) i have come to the conclusion, I WANT MY FIRE ARMS LICENCE!!! Heres a pic of my under-lever BSA Airsporter, the scope is a Hawke HD sport 3-9X40 and attached to the trigger is the foot of the first rabbit i shot, un-lucky for the rabbit but it might just bring me a bita luck?
  5. make a sound like a carrot? so that would be no sound at all then? unless the colour orange has a sound?
  6. hides arent always needed, ive shot rabbits before just by sitting quietly and being very very patient with my muzzle pointed where theyre going to be. the point im trying to make is try every method ,with and without hides. build your own techniques which suit you and you'll be fine
  7. hmmmm this definitely looks interesting. ive been wanting to try n make a stock, as im a woodworker already ive got the tools just gota find out the odds n ends to give it a go maybe? the thing im wondering is, is it possible for me to get all the working parts for a rifle then make the wood work myself or is there some sort of law against me owning the parts to a fire arm?
  8. hahahahahahahahahahahahaha *rolls on floor* no i didnt turn up wearing black expressing the desire to kill myself well the stress thing was up until about three months ago but im fine n' dandy now. i spoke to my fire-arms officer about it he seemed to think it might be ok so fingers crossed it'll all be gravy? to njc110381 to start with im only really looking to get a .22 rimfire rifle for target shooting and general rabbiting and also a 12 bore for pigeon's and other small game. tho in time i'd naturally get more as im interested in trying it all. ive had alot of fun just bagging a rabbit hear n there with my air rifle so naturally im looking to try more.
  9. Ok im new to this i did quite a bit of target shooting with my grandad when i was a kid but recently ive gotten back into it (the fun hasnt stopped since ) but ofcourse all ive used up until now is an air rifle (an old BSA under-lever airsporter) so a few months back i decided to take it up a notch and apply for my co-terminus certificate, shotgun and rifle, ive been a probational member of a rifle club for three months and in late september they'll help me apply for the license. i did it the long way as i figured being a member of a rifle club would mean i had a place to practice my shooting. the only thing i worry about is the few 'black marks' against my application which is: cautioned for theft age 13 (i was a stupid kid and im twenty now and a very good boy ) and for a short period of time i was on a small dose of citalopram for stress related anxiety (i was finishing college in chichester and commuting there four days a week from the isle of wight!) but thats the only 2 things against my application. in short i was wondering if there were any shooters on here who have had a similar 'black mark' when they were applying and did they get there licence?
  10. This is my very first post so its natural i do it on the gruesome picture. that looks pretty damn real to me probably took the picture whilst it was healing? but thats gota bloomin' hurt!!!
