    I hope you never need a surgeon OTH, because you certainly don't deserve one.

     

    Of course they are worth that sort of money. They also get £920 more than I do over the same 4 hours yet I don't save peoples lives by either putting them back together or removing parts that will do them harm.

     

    I suppose you think you should be earning that sort of money for cutting a branch off a tree or shooting a pigeon?

     

    Are you really saying I dont deserve NHS treatment because I think the surgeon who may treat me is overpaid ,the reason I deserve treatment is pay my tax to provide this service I just dont think such huge sum should go to that surgeon who may operate on me.

     

    Doc holiday thinks his solictor is overpaid so do you think he does not deserve there service because of his views .

     

    No I dont think I should earn that sort of money despite it being a much higher risk job in terms of personal injury factor.

    It's called free market economics and it's all about supply and demand.

     

    We don't live in a Utopia where everyone is equal. They tried that in Russia, it's called socialism and it doesn't work; everyone was equal, but some were more equal than others.

     

    Agree Mungs you cant compare the work a surgeon does to a till girl/boy.

     

    But is a surgeon worth roughly £950 more over four hours overtime than the nat wage earner I think not.

    I dont understand the comments made by Mungler under should have paid more attention at school.

     

    When will members of the public notice that we need all types of education standards to fill all the diffrent types of work in the UK.

     

    For me a surgeon is no more important than a dustbin collector what I cant understand is how others think you can live on the min wage .

     

    Yet think its OK for a surgeon to earn more in four hours than a girl serving behind the counter at a esso petrol station does in two weeks,

     

    Some may think I am strange but £1000 for four hours work is alot of cash be it that you suffer hardships in your early education to gain .

     

    And let be frank most doctors come from the better off family in the UK so is this hardship as hard as they claim I am not so sure.

    Thank you retomic, and its being able to do that kind of stuff that made us go into the job,

     

    I dont believe there is a Doctor I work with that believes the system is correct, we would all like to see it managed differently

    So I am right in thinking how pay in the NHS is paid and planned you think is incorrect .

     

    As a Doctor do you think your overpaid as in and would you take a pay cut for the greater good of the NHS along with others like director of NHS trusts.

    As with all things when it comes to incomes some have very strong feeling toward certain jobs incomes.

     

    Some say X job say a surgeon is worth ever penny they get paid,but think a footballer is over paid for what they do.

     

    What in your minds dictates a fair income in relation to the time of job .

     

    EG do you think a person working in esso petrol station on min wage is over paid or underpaid.

    Yes we earn £200 for a four hour stint, but it never is four hours its always longer, no extra pay and we have never asked for it.

     

    The problem is the management, they screwed it up years ago, basically we were paid a reasonable wage for the nature of our jobs and were ok with that but the management came in and said you lot are out playing golf not working a 40 hour week, we said no most of us put in 60 to 80 hours with no extra pay. they being second rate management said nobody would do that for free judging us by their standards, therefore you will work 40 hours and we will pay you above rates. Problem was all the free work then wasnt done as we said, ok we will work your system and prove it. all of a sudden they have to pay overtime to cover the work.

     

    The management of the NHS is bringing it to its knees, dont blame the Drs and Nurses.

     

    Yes I earn a very good wage but dont forget I earn less than most lawyers etc, I didnt get my first pay packet until I was 28 and that was peanuts for the first eight years, I worked over a hundred hours a week during that time.

     

    as for the comments from dustem dave I give up. what a cock as James May might say.

     

    PS my wife a BA Captain earns a lot more than me as do the majority of professions.

    Is there a way to find out who owns certain bits of coastline eg when you go to a beech or walk along the seawall who genrally owns said bit of land eg for wildfowling.

     

    The farmer or HM being a inland fella dont know alot about that side of things.

    Pigeon watch is that what its all about I thought it was strange I wast shooting them .

     

    Its looks like I maybe in the group of kill anything that moves I didnt know we was only meant to pigeon watch not pigeon shoot.
