One way to sort this in future is ask postie to leave a your not in card and you can collect it from your nearest delivery office.
Thats what he should be doing in the first place unless you have a agreed safe place .

Today is going to be one of the rare days I shot woodies in harsh condition I have just arrived back home after getting a phine call from a farmer .
I had a recce and to say the birds are damaging the sprouts and ajoining rape field is a understatment I have never see damage like it.
So I will keep you updated today will be about crop protection rather than having a sporting day out.

Same here I passed a field and it was the same the last time I saw that mant many birds was when our farm first started growing lineseed in the late 80s they hammered it.

No Ban on woodies I shot a few for the pot and they where in fine condition but having said that we have not had the snow bad here .

Today I dropped some logs off to a customer and on returning passed a some OSR poking though the snow we have very little in our area.
There is three fields and I have never seen so many birds on such a small area and birds where dropping in the hundreds ever minute.
I would guess nearly 10000 birds amazing site I think they must be moving from berksire and surrounding counties .
And it was nearly 1545hrs so must off been roosting close by .

I feel sorry for the full time deliver drivers who had a real slating in the news and on here in numerous topics etc.
For some reason joe public expect there post parcels but also think they should be have paid days off work becauswe its to dangerous to drive to work crazy.
Back to topic the keep the best advice is feel for movement of the car though you backside not the streering wheel as that is where your brain detect the slide before your reaction catch up.

Try your fridge overflow catchment thingy what happens is that over the years it fills with gunk and then all of sudden overflows and stinks like a dead mouse.
Its located at the rear of the fridge pul it out and have a look.

Chokes mean naff all if the shooter cant shot straight in the first place .
Be it woodies foxs etc yes chokes do have a techinal diffrents but most of the time its down to shooters prefer X type of choke.
I prefer a smoothbore shottie with a single slug for foxes.

I like it tight myself
but if your new to sport as Protom says 1/2 and 4/4 is better.The reason I got for tight chokes is in the last few years birds have been harder to decoy so it give a slighlty tighter pattern as distance.

I have no problem with anyone who wants to shoot game birds for sport but its not something i want to do myself.
I have no problems with any style of shooting at any kind of legal quarry but what i do have a problem with is other shooters telling me what i do is wrong, unethical or unsporting.I shoot for pleasure and my passion when the oppertunity arises is long range varminting but most of the time its short range pest control and lamping.

HIDS are 100% ilegal in you 300tdi yes some get away with it ,when it goes all wrong is if your in a RTA and the VOSA does a check and sees your HIDS could be the cause of a accident too bright wrongly set etc.
New OE lights with good quality bulbs.

I think that there is fair few wanabees on this forum I said it on some of my posts I get out there kill good numbers for real.
I have never been verbally attacked on a forum as on this one ,having said that all my life i have had other knock me.
Why because I am a lucky friendly guy who been good at most things I have tried and others dont like it sad but true.
I have been on this forum for just over a year and have met some great guys .
As for game shooting crack on not my cup of tea I do enjoy the odd day out invited but it good for networking with clients etc.

I bought a terrafirma lift kit (2"). I was going to get a local mechanic to fit it. Any idea what I should expectto pay?

Had numerous call with the same situ I had plans to do not much work this week but been flat out.
With over 10 customers wanting me to return to fit isolator taps when I have time.
The strange thing is I never trained to be a plumbing but seem to have more knowledge than most round our way.
