Boys let remember that its about charity and yes voice your diffrents of opinions on which is the best format etc.
But is it th best arena to bash out personnel issues which is quite evident in some of the replies.

In my opinion due to design the Stihl have, they are more reliable and esier to dismantle, e.g clean (benifits of a inboard clutch) They also have very good spares availibility and the small ones arent made under license in Asia, e.g. Husquvarna
Thats why I would go for Stihl over husky .

There red hot on this and so they should be I dont like high UK taxes but I dont like others who try to get round our high UK taxes buy trying to get suppliers to send as a gift.
IMHO all items should be sold at auction to raise more income for taxpayers.

Well done this year is the first year we have cracked out so much ground before xmas with the harsh weather its knocked the cover back early.
We have been ferretting hard for a moth now and accounted for alot of rabbits.
It looks a dangerous place to work though be safe OTH

I am fairly practical person and in last two years have fixed two problems with our worscester boiler that so called qualfied gas safe plumber failed to fix or pinpoint the problem.
I found a pin ***** in the diahpram causing water to over pressuixe the system .
His recommend we bleed the rads ever day :o
And the cold snap we had water gurgiling nosie from the flue plumber not a clue wanted to pull the boiler and fit new one.
Guess what 10 mins later I had found the condensator pipe was frozen causing it backup into boiler.
So I trust the average plumber no.
But the regulations stae there the most qualifed person .

OK one for the plumbers, apart from hoovering it out what else does boiler servicing actually entail?
Thats what they do for there £90 for half hours work
Checking that it's operating safely and that the safety devices are working correctly.
Thats what plumbers tell you that they do.

i Had to make this choice with yellow lab because he was so aggressive towards my wife.
A shame as he is a wonderful worker and a fine looking dog,once he had the chop he became model dog.
Not the same as a springer as labs a quiter anyway.
Will it work I think yes but I would give it another 4/5 months as he may calm down naturally.

Whatever you do Spaniel dont trout fish Chew it been hopeless off the bank for many years .
Very hard work if you fancy a day on the trout with me PM also I am only up the M4 from you.
Leachlade is dear but a ideal place to go for newbies to sport.

another disapointing day.recce'd them yesterday and they were dropping in like it was a Mc D's drive through,all bunched up in center of field like an eye shape and they seemed to be coming in for a late feed,pre roosting so got there at 12,set up as simular as yesterday with wind behind me,few dropped in but wind changed so finally decided to move across so wind behind me (field only about 125 meters wide)it rained for 20 minutes then as the late feed time approached ....nothing anywhere.i'm getting hacked off TBH as after 2 years of doing this and have only managed to get a couple of fields I seem to spend hours doing sod all,I seem to follow all accepted systems and really look for clues ,sitty trees,evidence of them hitting a certain section and watching the field for clues,but when I'm there ,nothing,it's not like they are getting spooked as they get close,about 5 commited to decoys today and 4 never left about 5 came and looked but didn't commit.i know people say it's the nature of the job but last year I managed 126 pigeons,pathetic.

Now I know that info is helpful but is there any new info being gained here.
Woodies are more numerous than ever before but must have had alot less pressure on them EG it equals it must have been easier to shoot good numbers in Mr Coates days.
He had access to huge tracts of Hampshire finest game estates which other dreamed of.
Winter rape did not come to Uk till the late seventies farming practices have changed .
Some of the advice is helpful and true but the harsh fact is no matter your skill level of decoying there will be times they are undecoyable FACT.
V shape whirly flappers peckers 100 deeks etc.
I think what is more relavant is the mood the woodies are in if they fancy feeding they will feed but if they dont no matter what methods you try the vast majority of woodies will either stay away or fly pass.

Children, calm down. The playground is big enough for every one.
There's no forum rules about forming your own gang, although it's well know that the best gang is in Essex already.
The Suffolk gang is always looking for new prospects but the initiation process will smart a bit and you will need to bring your own bread for toasting.
Come on chaps, lighten up.
The only problem with the gangs in essex is they end in rangie with there brains blow out because they talk the talk but dont walk walk .
ME sums up the essex boys image .
Not that all essex boys/girls are the same.

Only the Moderators can straight this whole mess out it will be a sad day for this forum if either of the topic are deleted or locked.
So I hope the Mods do the right thing for forum as a whole rather than protection indviduals .

If this forum is the same as others, members with admin permissions leave no trace visable to members that they have edited posts unless they fill in the reason why they have edited a post.
Thats a bonus to have if you make a rash statement.

I am puzzled A topic I replied to that a PW member stated X this morning has been edited today and it does not state his/her post has been edited.
Now when others edit there topics / replies it shows as topic edited.
Can certain types PW members EG site Supporters or Mods edit there topics without it showing post edited.
