  5. when will the flo consider for an open ticket? ive had my 17hmr for a year now and have just got a variation for a 243 for fox or deer depending if i do either the dsc 1 or the fac training, is it worth asking for an open ticket? harps
  6. there are a few in 40 commando in taunton my bro used to work in the kitchen down there and has pics on his phone of deer there, he says they used to mooch from one kitchen to another after grub!!!
  7. i saw a big cat on a nights lamping with another pw member, it was across a vally and the eyes lit up when in the lamp and looked very foxy. i sat down, set up the bi-pod and the lamp was swithched on i found the target and to my surprise it was jet black and larger than a fox and moved in a way which was not similar to a fox but as you would expect a big cat to walk in. i watched it walk along a hedge up the valley and into a small wood at the top and we left it at that and both confirmed each others thoughts that this was a big cat. another shooter who shoots this particualar land which is about 10 miles or so from exmoor national park, has also confirmed a sighting to but like a lot of you said when you tell people they laugh and you feel like a right yarn spinner, but hey i knew what i saw.

    Bricklayers

im a qualifed brickie, like vampire said its all plumbing and gauge work not just a simplle run to a line job, but 104 bricks should be do-able in one day i would of thought!!! 2 days at £150 is a bit steap i must admit! be careful about getting some college lad to do it i left college 2 years ago and some lads even in there 3rd year are not up to much and if its at the front of your house you would want it to be pretty decent, if one pier is higher than the other it will look awful! personally id go with the £120 a day man, at least you can see the quality of his work if he is only working across the road. good luck

  15. in my village a peadophile was relocated in to a quite estate which was 500 yards from a school!! he was quite a serious predator and was involved in a serious incident in which a 14 year old boy died, quite a famous case involving a few of the ****ers!! after a national newspaper told a local resident who told a few others, there was a big protest outside his house and the police moved him out!!!!!!

  20. just need a bit of advice really, after many shooting trips i decided to put in for my combined fac and sgc whcih i know have. i have recently brought a `CZ 452 american second hand from my rdf for £200 without moderator and scope, the previous owner (so im told) thought he had a fault of some sort with it but i have been reassured by my rfd that this was not the case and has been serviced by his gun smith, the nature of this fault was unknown. i have now brought a moderator and a bushnell legend which i had fitted at the sportsman gun shop. the trouble started when i tryed to sight it in. i can get it near enough but it fires around 3" to 4" all ways of centre which as you can imagine is very frustrating, and not to mention unsafe. the rounds i shoot are hornady v-max (the blue tipped ones.) any suggestons or advice would be very much apreciated. joe
  21. yeah sounds similar to me, i go out with another chap from my village and a pw member and like you said without his knowledge, equiptment and permission i would really be struggling. he also signed my fac and sorted me out with a great 17hmr. he has helped me out a great deal apart from his women advise lol. but its nice to have your own bit of permission and not having to relie on anyone!
  22. i live in somerset and am 21 have just got my fac and sgc and am finding it real hard to get permission. the trouble is a while back i asked a local farmer if i could do a spot of shooting in his wood one evening and his reply was, yes thats fine with me but you have to ask "chris", hes like the don of all things shooting in my village. so i went to his house and asked him and his reply was NO!, even though he can hardly walk through a bad back and rarely goes out!!!!! nightmare
