  2. it would be the beretta for me . i have only had one semi auto its a al391 optima and has never missed a beat in 4 years a couple of mates have escorts 1 a 3 inch and 1 a 3.5 and both are ok if kept spotless clean . but have heard bad reports from others i have met out on the foreshore
  3. from reading these posts the only conclusion i come to is, book with a basc registerd guide yourself and cut out the middle man and his hefty comision which would pay your digs and evening meal no problem . a good guide should not be that hard to find with a bit of homework and ask for referances if possible
  4. i had this happen to me once just as i was looking through the scope of my rifle at a 3/4 grown rabbit lined up the cross hairs just ready to squeeze the trigger and it vanished . lifted my head to see a large buzzard making off with the rabbit still struggling in its talons . never had one show any interest in my pigeon decoys but had a sparrow hawk hit them then land a few feet away looking very confused .
  5. a couple of my mates have terranos and i must admit i do like them . the 2.7 is supposed to be the engine used in black cabs so is very reliable . dont know anyone with a shogun so cant get advice there but do feel like the disco could be the one with the 300 tdi engine . my mates with the terranos are getting 30+to the gallon what could i expect with the disco

    A Goose

i think the reason you can no longer sell shot ducks and geese is after the days of punt gunners and commercial shooters they nearly wiped out some species such as brent geese and there was no real definition of shooting season in bygone days
  11. muck boots for me in the tay version (chuncky sole) very good boot which i use for shooting and grayling fishing 1 year old and no probs . too hot for summer use though . my mate has toggi and they are good too similar to aigle but a bit cheaper i think
