  7. Ok Gang; I am having a clearout, partly as we are about to move and partly as i am about to sit my DSC 1 so have put my variation in and will need to buy a new gun therefore need some funds to help with the purchase. I have looked on the "Other site which shall not be named" to get an idea of postage costs, conscious that the postage will form a significant part of the cost of these items. Clearly if you can collect from Colchester or (Stockport if in the next couple of weeks) we can knock off the cost of P&P. 8. Hi, I have a 04 L200 warrior which i am about to put up for sale. In short it is in good all round condition although has been transport to site workers so has age related wear. It is silver, Taxed and tested. Mileage is 118k however has recently had a replacement engine and clutch and still has warranty on the engine. I am after 3500 for it; there is no VAT. regards, Mac. 07970451150
  9. Hi, If these are still available, i'll take them please. Let me know and we'll arrange payment. Regards, Mac.
  10. Roger that, Brawdy the land where the rain comes in horizontaly. Some of the best times so far. Shooting was great and running the dogs around Lys y Fran resevoir (probably spelt wrong - apologies to our welsh brothers).
  11. I used to be based in Haverfordwest so enjoyed Pembrokeshire for a few years. Me and the family used to drive to Little Haven (Small village next to Milford Haven) when the weather was nice. If you hire a sea kayak from the local Sea Sports shop you can launch in the early morning at high tide, paddle out 200 metres and turn right into a lovely 1/4 mile beach cove which is inaccessible until low tide meaning you get the beach, pretty much, to yourselves for a few hours. "NAKED BEACH AHOY" Oh yes, you can also do some pretty productive trolling. There are some decent makerel shoals and the sea bass aren't too shaby either. Spider crab are also in abundance providing they are within legal dimensions. The whole area is pretty damn beautiful and caters for most. Solva and St Davids also have a lot of sights to see and the beer is clean aswell. Nice dinner at sunset in Solva is guaranteed to bag you some brownie points. Hope you have a great trip, Mac.
  12. You've clearly had the full mix of PW advice there matey. The gang are right in what they say; you have a job offer which is a luxury many don't have today. Most employers accept the fact that their "New Blood" isn't going to set the world on fire during the first week. As long as your attitude is positive and you're prepared to learn (Remember: one mouth/two ears - use them in that ratio) you'll be fine. regarding the commute; I believe the AA statistic for the average punter is 9 miles per day ie: round trip of 18 miles, this is based on the depreciation sum applied to vehicles when calculating mileage allowance so your commute is more than acceptable. Give it a go, suck it up. I drive 180 miles on a sunday afternoon back to work, spend all week away from the missus and kids and drive 180 back on a friday. I fully expect to read your next post telling us all about how your first week went. If the job genuinely doesn't work out, at least you can look yourself in the mirror when you start shaving and be happy that you, at least, gave it a go. Good luck with the job. Mac.
  13. Lads, I'm in stafford and work in Colchester during the week. I would happily transport the gun down to you if this would help. Regards, Mancub.
  14. Dan I'll Have it mate if it's still available. I'm in stafford so can come round tomorrow and give you the cash. I will PM you with my Phone number. Regards, Mancub.
  15. tignme, If it has still got the foam inside i'll take it. I am assuming this will take my remmy 700 VTR with a T3 can on. let me know about the foam and postage. Cheers pal, Mancub.
  16. Bomb Disposal you say DOC. What does he look like from the back because i'll be making damn sure i'm walking behind those guys. Stephen Ord, noted. If he runs into Warrant Officer 2 "Mac McDonnell" of 216 (Para) sigs, tell him to say hello, I'll get a brew on because he bloody deserves it. Regards, Mancub.
  17. ebygum32, Good effort, those lads are doing a fantastic job. They reckon that you have a better chance of survival in Afghan now than anywhere else in the world due to the well nailed up medical facilities including the lads and lasses on the mert teams. Take care mate and pass on my regards to your mates. Mancub.
  18. Butch, I can't thank you enough for the kind offer of joining the syndicate on your shoot. I will gladly accept and will get in touch soon. For all other PWers reading this thread; forget the truck !! my off hand remarks about my deployment has prompted some fantastic and supportive remarks and it just serves as a reminder as to just how solid the community is. I've never known such a disparate gang of gentlemen and rogues come together in such a way; it is a wonder that shooting could ever be in jeopardy with such solidarity. Butch, without having ever met or spoke to me has offered a day with his gang while i am on RnR from tour. God bless, God speed to all PWers and thank you Butchdickason. PS: the dog will still need a walk while i'm away. Regards, Mancub.
  19. Chicane, I have never really been taken with the brownings despite a lot of mates owning them. THAT, HOWEVER, IS A NICE LOOKING GUN. good luck with the sale pal. Mancub.
  20. Bluebarrels, Sorry pal, thought that was Dr James. Was beginning to think that he was a gyno !! Mancub
  21. 2 weeks RnR Doc. I hope i'll be squeezing more than 1 shoot in !!!! Remember lads: A camel with 1 Hump can go for 40 days without water. A man, however, no matter how much water you give him, Can't go 40 days without a hump !! so endeth the Mancub Mantra.
  22. Cheers DOC. Infact thanks to all for their comments. I will keep the gang updated when I get out there in the Off Topic Forum. PS: I'll be home for R n R around Xmas so if any PWers have an opening on a shoot I'd love to squeeze one in while i'm home ?? Anyone want to give the canine gigalo some exercise while i'm away (Steady as a rock and works like an Aussie on the River Kwai - just don't let him near your tweed cap). Regards, Mancub
  23. Quickshot, It's the 2.5TD engine. Regards, Mancub
  24. Rimfire, Yes pal; 2 seats. When i've got stuck for room I have the kids in the back seats, dogs all over the front cab and the wife in the back!!!
