  1. This has now been reduced as I have placed an order for my next toy. Wishing you all a great new year. Regards.
  2. Good stuff. Glad you got sorted. L/R air for tyres comes in at £80 per cm/3. Nothing is cheap.!!!
  3. Chris, Where are you mate. I'm in Blandford and have a tdci so you could use my mats as a template if you wanted??
  4. Hi, is this still for sale and if so would you send rfd to my local gun shop??? Thanks.
  5. I had the same issue when i bought my L200 4 Work Crew Cab. I seem to remember NFU and Adrian Flux were the most competitive. I joined the L200 Owner's club for a 1 off payment of 15 pounds (Got a mug, sticker all that rubbish) and was discounted further by the insurance company. Good Luck.
  6. Good Effort ROBLATCH. Hope all goes well with Jasper. Never a bad dog, as they say. Must say my cockers are more laid back than the springer. It's all about knowing the animal's instincts and acting accordingly. All the best with the newbie. Mancub.
  7. Here's my gang. Lightening Knickers and Mr Cuddles aka Bella & Barkley. Barkley being introduced to the game retrieve. Canine Gigalo aka Trado and mate Barkley after a swim at Kimmeridge. Don't know what i'd do without them !!!
  8. I have used a .22 starting pistol with my springer and latterly my 2 cockers (8 months and 10 months now). I agree that the pitch and report of a 22 starting pistol is quite different to a shotgun. I started during a normal obedience walk by having my wife drop back with the starter pistol in my game bag which muffles the shot producing a much softer, deeper bang. As soon as the gun went off and the dogs reacted to the report, I made a great fuss of them and provided the reassurance that was needed. This progressed until the gun was closer and more frequent, then came out of the bag at distance and progressively got nearer to the dog. Start slow and soft - baby steps as opposed to rushing in. Good Luck.
  9. I'm with Chris, A Xmas meet would be a great idea Eskoky. I'd come over for this. Don't give up. Damian.
  10. Clayman, Many thanks for your thorough explanation; now i know !! Richard has quoted me and i'll be sending him my barrels forthwith. Take care and thanks again,
  11. Lads, Many thanks. Richard now has a PM. Damian.
  12. Blackpowder, Thanks; any more direction before I go trawling?? Mancub.
  13. Guys; this also comes with its Beretta Hard Case, Oil bottle, Choke Key - you know, all the normal gubbins. Happy to take sensible offers but tempted to have the barrels done and keep it as my trusty Clay Buster so please be gentle. Thanks.
  14. Can anyone ellaborate on the difference between blacking and blueing? is this just a terminology thing or are they different treatments? How much would I be looking at to have a set of O/U barrels doing and what are the Pros and Cons; I have a gun that has suffered some wear to the end of the barrels due to careless slipping and it sets my angina off when I see it. Lot of questions but I know I can rely on the collective experience and knowledge on here. Muchas Gracias Amigos. Mancub.
  15. Is it me or is it getting smoky in here???
  16. Mrs Mac is pretty sound. As long as the Mancubs are looked after I'm OK. It's when we have to get rid of the munchbunch yoghurts in the packups and go to Tesco Blue and White stripes that additional scrutiny is applied. Quid Pro Quo - Vets fees for the horse vs shooting. I've probably got the moral high ground.
  17. That's it. Anyone want to buy some waterskis.
  18. Anyone want to buy some cheap Hull Pro Performance cartridges? I've also got a cigarette lighter from an Isuzu Trooper if anyone needs a replacement.
  19. You could try a Garmin Foretrex. Even the basic 101 model will give you a british grid reference. It is small and can be worn on the wrist/straped to a bike etc. It will tell you speed, ave speed, distance covered aswell. If you're interested, i've got one for £50 posted. It's in as new condition.
  20. That's the way to do it. Good effort JJ. Inspirational.
  21. Really interested, Could you tell me the LOP please. Many Thanks.
  22. My Pleasure, Why hasn't this been done sooner?? Keep up the good work, Mac.
  23. Matt, If this is still for sale i will take it please, Mac. I will send you PM.
