  1. I have a lightly used CZ455 Laminate thumbhole stock which I would like to swap for a synthetic one. Do you have the same gun in black synthetic and want to upgrade to a laminate thumbhole FOC? My rifle is .17HMR and has the heavy varmint barrel.
  2. 30" barrels, fixed choke at 1/4 & 1/2 - narrow game rib and silver sight bead. Sideplates with game scenes - pheasants on one side, ducks on the other. Dogs underneath and woodcock on the trigger guard. Prince of wales stock / grip. Lovely figuring on the wood. I have cleaned this gun after every use so it has been well looked after. I have a un-matched pair of these guns, one in 12 bore the other one identical but in 20 bore. Both are for sale and I would consider a deal if both went to the same buyer. I'm located in Dorset but travel a little for work or could RFD transfer these. These are rare guns and ideal if you want a quality gun that is different to the run of the mill Beretta / Brownings. Take a look at Gun Trader for what these are worth new - priced to sell at £1500 ono. See here for the matched 12 bore: Further pictures on request, any questions please ask.

  4. Brilliant Thanks all, I’ll see what is local plus a look on YouTube.
  5. Thank you for everyone’s quick replies. I have already tried cocking the gun – It did not make any difference. I think an O-ring is a more plausible suggestion. Does anyone have a link or a video on how to do this I should be capable of doing it myself?
  6. I’m after some help guys? I have an S410 - when I got it out of the cabinet today I noticed the pressure gauge on zero - strange I thought so I took it to the workshop to fill it up from the tank. Once connected I opened the cylinder - but rather than the pressure rising - the air simply went in and straight out of the barrel again! Any ideas?
  7. Sold pending payment. Thanks for the interest.
  8. I picked this up at an auction last yearr but dont have the wall space for it - plus I'm a cocker man! It's a genuine Oil painting, not a print of a picker up stood in autumnal woods with his black lab by his side and pheasant in hand. It measures 14" x 10" The frame is gold painted hardwood. It is signed however I cant make out the signature. £20 posted.

  10. Quite amazing how stable that is as a filming platform! On a big drive it would be awesome to fly it with the birds over the guns, you would want to be spectating and not shooting or too much going on I suspect.
  11. Thanks all, certainly makes sense, trousers twisting in boots drives me mad!
  12. Lovely looking cocker. Mine had a similar episode last year but not as deep. The eye glazed over, but the vet prescribed antibiotic drops which healed it over within a fortnight. For these hard hunting cockers it's always a risk. At first I was too keen with mine, now I always stop them jumping barbed wire or stock fences or entering really sharp cover. Hope it turns out ok.
  13. So I bought a cheap pair of breeks in the jan sales, I've always fancied a pair for game shooting but never been too sure. Anyway, how do I wear these things? They seem to be traditional way and have stood the test of time, but I can't see how only having sock below the knee is a warm and waterproof way to go ahead? Specifically, how do I rig the sock / breek around the knee area?

  18. Bisley Shooting Tie - green with grey woodcocks. Unwanted present - never worn. £7.50 posted
  19. Army issue, Goretex jacket in medium. This is the short style jacket which finishes at waist height. Adjustable cuffs and hood with a stiff peak. In fantastic condition, no scuffs or rips. Amazingly waterproof and breathable. Size is Medium - I'm 6' tall with 40" chest and it fits me well with room underneath for a fleece. £20 posted
  20. Can't say I've noticed! It certainly doesn't knock me around. The round body actions are lovely.
  21. I use the 20b more as I bought it for walked up shooting and snap shooting woodcock and snipe, but the only reason I use it more is this is the type of shooting I do more of. When I'm on a driven day I use the 12 as I feel the extra weight swings the gun easier rather than poking it. They are both an identical fit, so I can swap between them effortlessly. Mine are the Artemis Models, prince of Wales stocks, rounded forends, solid narrow game beads and 30" barrels both fixed choke at 1/4 & 1/2. As for people going on about resale value.... When you've shelled out a couple of grand for a gun that fits perfectly and is a joy to look at, why would I ever want to sell it? For me these will be lifetime guns that will be heirloom pieces to pass to my kids one day. Not something you could do with a run of the mill beretta?
  22. I've got a pair of B Rizzini's, matched guns but one in 12b and one in 20b. I also had an E rizzini as my first shotgun. What I can say is that you can't compare a BR to an entry level beretta or browning... To the EL or the EELL maybe... Each to there own and all that, and I agree that it would be boring if we all agreed! I looked very hard at new Berettas before I bought and was sooooo inexcited by what they had to offer. Plain, boring, cheap looking wood, poor wood to metal fit etc. on the other hand when I found the BR's I was amazed by the quality for the same sort of money, hand finished engraving, sideplates, exhibition grade wood... I also love the fact I'm always being asked what gun gun is, and if people can have a swing / hold.... Not often you see that from all of the other guns stood with there Berettas and Brownings! Anyway, happy for the majority to be sheep and keep buying B and B's.... I like being individual and having something a bit special! So I'm with Mr Sheen!
