  1. Anyone interested in an informal meet up during the week to break some clays? Rich
  2. Sounds right up my street, I will have to drop by again and see if anyone is about. Ta, Rich
  3. IIRC one of the features of the BSA Supersport being able to adjust the power using slotted washers behind the piston?? As said above make sure you get it checked out properly after messing with it.

    8 Bore.

Hi there Dale, Oxfordfowler is a member of Spalding Wildfowlers and has been for a number of years, he also uses some big bore guns going by his signature so it might be worth dropping him a PM for some info. Regards, Rich
  5. Have you tried a media player App such as OPlayer that can handle all sorts of audio & video files? Normally you can choose to open email attachments with different apps on your device. Worth a try, Rich
  6. The shot reclaiming equipment is there right now. They are hoping to raise enough cash for a new club house!!
  7. I have them in my cartridge bag but have found that routing around grabbing the next load with damp gloves/hands seems to be enough to do the damage. Probably just need to take a little more care, not so easy when you are hastily trying to reload. The Black Gold cases I have reloaded are not an issue as the nickel plating on them seems to protect them but the new 3" cases I have done only seem to need to get within 1/2 a mile of sea water to start turning brown! Didn't know if there was something like hairspray etc you could apply to stop the rot. Cheers, Rich
  8. Any hints and tips to prevent corrosion on shotgun cartridges whilst wild fowling? Don't want to use anything that will collect grit etc that may gum up or damage the gun but finding I am having to take a pan scourer to clean up the 'brass' after trips to the foreshore especially when I want to reload them. TIA, Rich
  9. A red letter day by the looks of it, nice one!!
  10. Were you the only ones there? Sounded like someone was giving the clays a right old battering up there earlier today!! I'll be up for the sporting days when I am at home...
  11. I'm in Leconfield so close by. The guy seems really eager to get people in and offer the shooting they are after. The sporting traps he has set up need a trapper rather than the electronic set up at Brands but as I said the guy was eager to drop everything to keep customers happy so cannot see a problem in small numbers going. He charged me the equivalent of member rates of £5 per 25 clays, not sure if he is planning on doing discount days like Brands, have to wait & see. If you want to meet up & try it out let me know.... How is the set up at Monkton? Every time I have dropped in to try it out it has been closed! Rich

    Radios

If you are after PMR's that are better quality than the Argos jobs but don't want to go to the pro level Icom's & Motorola's take a look at the Intek PMR's. The 3030's come as a pair for £70 ish or the higher spec 5050 comes in at £70 each. The 5050's can be modified to 4 watts output (against the law), scramble transmissions and/or add many extra channels if that is what you are after. I use the 5050's for green laning, shooting etc and they are very effective. There is plenty of info to be found here:- http://www.thunderpole.co.uk/2_way_radios.htm Rich
  13. Only really seen Teal this year, bagged a drake tonight but I lost one too Will go back tomorrow when it's light to try & find it. Plenty of shooting just not able to connect with most of them!! I'm still waiting to hear about becoming a full member, sent an application letter when you sent me the details although I was told they would not be processed until Jan...... Trying to cram as much in before going back offshore as I can, got two Sat's up in Bilsdale to look forward too as well! Happy hunting, Rich

  18. Could't agree more, for all the bickering & mickey taking, more Scots and English have died standing shoulder to shoulder than ever died fighting each other
  19. Or, 'Cameron, stay out of matters that relate to North of the Border as it has nothing to do with you, but we will feel free to vote in Westminster on issues specific to England' Hypocrites!!
  20. If my time at Bishop Burton Agricultural College was anything to go by, farmers daughters don't need too much encouragement to get their kit off! Makes it all the better when it is for a good cause
  21. Not the Eley First's but I fired off two boxes of Hull Sovereign 28g 7.5 fibre wads through my S Vinci (3 1/2" chamber) with no issues today. Rich
