  1. Cracking saws bud fair play. I got a 61 with the original white capping or hood on it, was my old man's before I had it. Over 20+ years old and still cutting wood with ease. Good luck with sale DD
  2. Cheers Bob I'll have a look see on the link. £150 does seem a bit steep but I suppose it's like most things, if you want good then you got to pay for it. Cheers Gareth
  3. I've got the MK6 air stream mod on there at the mo Bob. But I wouldn't mind putting a Huggett set up on there to make it more quiet. Let me know what he says after phoning him Monday bud. Cheers Gareth
  4. Cheers Bob I think I'll have to wait till is designed as I don't think the reflex one will fit on my Wolverine with the 500c bottle on it. Atb Gareth
  5. Evening all Can anyone shed light on Hugget doing a moderator for the Wolverine B. If so how much would a complete set up be please. Atb Gareth
  6. If your budget can stretch then I would recommend a Daystate Huntsman/ Regal. Their only about 6 lbs in weight and is very well balanced, very accurate. Or maybe the Air Arms S510 ultra light. DD
  7. It's an odd one Bob I'll give it that much bud. It's like out of a ten shot string, it will shoot 6 out of 10 on the mark or rounds about but at least 4 flyers that just shoot off randomly in directions, with the bipod. Never heard of a gun that shoots so erratic off a bipod never mind seen one, well until now. I'll work it out bud in due course. I got a camera bracket here, so once I get a half decent camera I'll hopefull get some footage of what it's like shooting off the bipod and you can see for yourself. One thing I'm sure of though is how heavy the bloody thing feels after half hour or so carrying it about. I'm 6ft 5" and 23 stone and I even found it very weighty after a time carrying it around the woods etc. compared to my other guns in defo need a bit more in the shoulder department to lug it about lol. ATB Gareth
  8. Bob I've heard of Daystate fanatics but your exceptional lol. I was iffing an Arring about buying a Ranger before the B type come out. But I heard they weren't so good in FAC so opted as you know for the Wolverine instead. Don't think I'll be using the bipod on it from now on as I seem to shoot a lot better with out it. Glad your enjoying your new rifle though bud, look forward to seeing some hunting pictures. ATB Gareth
  9. Yes mines the same as you're Bob mate attached to the underside of the stock and not the bottle. It does nudge a bit in the shoulder albeit very light but it maybe enough to cause the accuracy problems. As like I said I tried it on a folded coat and it was near perfect. I originally thought it may be pressure variations going up and down but I honestly don't think it that. I'll have to put her through a chronograph first though just to rule out for sure. If it's not that or the bipod then I'm flummoxed as to what it could be either. Cheers for advice though lads much appreciated Gareth
  10. You and me both Chris lol, it certainly is a good baffling experience for any airgun shooter lol Gareth
  11. I got a stud fitted Chris so it's attached to the wood not the stock and not the bottle as you said. It's baffled the hell out of me bud lol. Gareth
  12. Was out with my Wolverine B yesterday and thought I'd check the zero on it. So I attached the bipod and lay down about 45 yards away from a make shift target. Fired a couple of mags and noticed a bit of inconsistent pellets going out in the wrong direction. So I checked every slug JSB Exacts 16 grainers near enough, for damage before loading them. And still getting an odd couple flying out to the left and the grouping wasn't the best either. So I took off the bipod and shot off my folded up coat and by some strange occurrence I had no fliers and the groupings were tighter. Feeling puzzled I put the bipod back and and groups were wider and fliers happened again. Took it off shot and groups noticeably tights with hardly no fliers. Any body else had this sort or experience and if so what would they say may be the cause of bad groupings an fliers using a bipod as I'm baffled big time lol. Atb Gareth
  13. I've had a Regal for nearly 2 years in .177 flavour and I've had no complaints about it at all. Served me well in all weather's and shoots very well with most good brand pellets. JSB Exacts being the more favoured out about 5 brands, so I defo wouldn't call it pellet fussy at all. Bolt is smooth as a babies backside to load and mag has been faultless fair play. There has been a few Regal's thar have suffered from under power and leaks, but I dare say it not any more then other good branded rifles out there. They all have their faults and most are the same leaks, mags or regulators being faulty etc. In my opinion I'd go for a Regal but in the end it's your choice Atb Gareth
  14. Yep Bob that pulsar was a big let down in my opinion and Defo not worth the 2k price tag they want for it. I think it was made aiming towards the American market as they love bull pup rifles. To be honest Bob I ain't had time over last couple of weeks to really get out with it. I'm on late shift in work and by time I get in, most of the time I ain't got enough daylight to get out with it. Plus I've been busy with other things in between which as you know is always the same when you want to do other more enjoyable things such as shooting. So unfortunately bud I ain't got a lot to report about the Wolverine since the last pm I sent you. Not for the lack of enthusiasm but just ain't had the time to get out an shoot due to one thing or other. I've got a few different makes of slugs here now, some bought, some generously given to me by a member of this forum and another member from a different hunting forum I'm on. So when I get time, I'll take a couple of hours putting some shot strings together and see the results between them. Hopefully this weekend. Gareth
  15. Nice bit of kit Bob. Though I'm not overly fussed on the tactical style on airguns bud. More of a traditionalist wood man where somethings are concerned, can beat a nice bit of wood lol. I'm sure you'll have plenty of fun with it though bud Atb Gareth
  16. TNT picked up and redelivered my FAC rated airgun just before and after Christmas no worries at all. So they could be an option for you bud. DD
  17. Got my X LOCK mounts for my xbolt rifle off them as they were the only stockists at the time. Must admit their service was polite and fast. Defo do business with them again. DD
  18. I use JSB Exacts 4.52 through my Regal and their bang on. Closely followed by H&N FTT. Gareth
  19. Hello Matt Yes bud that could be arranged for Sunday no worries. Be nice for a meet up and a chat etc. And thanks for the offer of some different pellets to try the Wolverine much appreciated Matt Looking forward to meeting up Gareth
  20. I'll be there on the Sunday as last year i picked up a few deals that may not have been had the previous two days before. Saved a fair few quid but thats whats it all about why pay out when you may not need to. Looking for decent boots or wellies this time around, maybe another scope for my rimfire or Wolverine. Should be a decent day out. Gareth
  21. My FAC Wolverine has finally been zeroed properly at 50 yards and the only pellets ive tried are JSB Exacts Jumbos H&N FTT Trophy Biz Mags And all performed pretty well, but the JSB's took pole position as they got the tightest groups at that distance. The hardest hitting were the obvious Biz Mags and fair play the pack hell of a punch with 30ft lbs energy behind them. Going to the British Shooting Show on the 15th, so may pick up a pellet pack or two if i can find them, just to try out a few other brands with out buying full tins. But in all fairness, i can't see the JSB's being beaten as they are pretty impressive through my Wolverine. The local crow populous has decided their not overly keen on them either as i've been dropping them willy nilly at very good ranges. Cant get over how user friendly these Wolverines as it didn't take long to work out its capabilities at range. 75/80 yards with minimal hold over and its good night Irene for any thing unlucky enough to be in its firing line :good:  Gareth
  22. I check every time before I go out proper. It dont take a few mins to pick a target and let a few shots off to see where you POI is at. Nothing like walking to the place/ area where you plan to shoot and then realise that you aim is off. As you got to shoot in that area then to rezero your rifle an that will cause much more disturbance then you originally planned. So for the sake of a few shots before going off stalking hedges or ambush hunting, I think its worth the few mins time checking. Gareth
  23. I'm going on the Sunday as its usually the day to pick up a few bargains an deals due to being last day of selling.
