  2. im using supreme game in 32 gram 5's this season pal and theyre dusting some cracking birds, bit prices i think just over 8 quid a box but a quick and hard hitting shell... even dropped a fox with one a while back ( just to say it was only about 15 yards away on a walked up day ) fudd

  4. ive grown so sick of keeping using all four of my guns and never getting used to one so as a result my shooting has absolutley plummeted so all my guns are going into retirement and i am going to buy a nice over and under and stick to it! ive narrowed my choices down to a beretta 686s that a freinds selling for 800 and its mint, and a browning 525 grade 1 which has hardly been used for 900, theyre both really nice guns and bith fit like a glove but i cant for the life of me pic one which would you lads go for and reasons please but to be honest im starting swing towards the beretta is this the right choice? cheers

  10. brought a new gun on thursday and today was the first time i could try it out, so went to my closest shoot where theres loads of rushes and rough patches of gorse, loaded up three 32 gram 5's and started to walk through it all, been there about an hour and hadnt seen a thing :look: got to a large path of gorse and thought they maybe some rabbits in there, walked around and nothing was about to go elsewhere when a crow came over, i aimed bang and missed but my shot managed to scare a fox out about 10 foot from where i was standing! spun round and shot, rolled over on the spot at about 15 yards, would have prefered to use a better shell but obviuosly didnt have chance to change them anyway it was my first fox with my new toy, which was the entire reason i brought it ( as a rough foxing gun ) fudd p.s sorry the bolts closed on the gun i was the only one there so it was safe really fudd

  15. really dunno why some people get so ****** over stuff like this to be honest, ive been told something by a very good freind who i have seen shoot hundreds of times and know full well he is a FANTASTIC shot, probably better than many of us on here! and to tell you the truth he said the fox was shot through full choke through high al390 and i do beleive him, just wondered how far a shell could kill at, really dunno why people do get soo ******... perhaps jelousy of never shooting more then 20 yards? fudd
  16. brought some fiocchi 52 gram magnums tonight in size 0 shot after a mate of mine said he shot a fox stone dead at just over 60 yards with one the other night, now just to clarify im not going to be shooitng at anything that far! 35 tops for me but how for do you think they would kill a fox at? or how far have you killed foxes at? fudd

  24. decided have a quick walk around a mates farm where i release some birds yesterday, took the sxs and cartrdge belt and drove across, had a quick natter with him and decided we were going to have a shoot there next saturday and then i set off over the feilds, was walking up a hedgerow when i spotted loads of crows crossing over it quite high so waited a while for one to come over me and managed dropp one from quite a good height with my first shot but lost it in the hedge then i started to walk towards the wood but only walked up the edge of it, didnt want to disturb it too much for next week and managed a nice cock bird decided that was good enough for todays dinner so picked the pheasant and started to walk back when about 6 or 7 pigeon went over me managed one but missed my second shot then as soon as id reloaded a flock of them, must have been 50-60, rose out of the woods my eyes lit up lol managed another but again missed my second but unfortunately lost my bird in the woods so ended with a pheasant and a bonus pigeon, was really impressed with how well my pheasants were looking actually tried to take this pic to show the size and colouring of him, my mate was impressed with him to just hasnt quite got his full tail yet fudd
