We have been drilling this week and the pigeon have been hitting two of the fields that have been drilled (Optic Barley) one of the fields had hundreds on it today and I nearly crashed me tractor watching them too see were the flight line was coming in to the field. I bet ya that when I shoot it tomorrow the ******* wont be there !! The wind is blowing a good'n' at the mo (NE) and if it keeps up and the birds do play the game should be in for some sport? I hope! Went out and set up on some O.S.R yesterday after watching the pigeon hitting it hard with plenty of birds about.....thought I was in for another good day....WRONG!! After shooting about 7 in 5mins they started to swich else were and started coming less and less until it stoped all together, I had some rope bangers in the Freelander and drove over too the other side off the estate and set 3 ropes going in differnt places hoping that they would swich back on the flight line....WRONG !!! Still I sat it out untill 1.30 and picked up 26+ 1 crow....were they all went lord knows!! and couldnt be ***** to drive about all after noon looking for them. I went home and had a bite too eat then thought that I would go roosting at about 3.00 as there was a bit of a wind blowing from the north east ( nice and cold) Shot 16+ 2 crows and 1 jackie.... shot from a nice clearing in the wood with my back up against an old oak tree. I must off had a dud Fusion then......every one else that Ive spoken to who has a browning fusion says they are ok I was always cleaning the bloody thing...I recon I could ave striped it down with my eyes closed!!......its a shame coz I loved the way it handled and the way that it loaded!!!
