  1. Went for 2 days and had a great time, saw some of the displays in the main arena to keep the other half happy, she wanted to go and watch more of the timbersports and we got loads of freebies off them. bought some new toys and got some good advice from the clay and game stand off a verrrry nice girl and got some free drinks from the dubarry girls too!

I feel for the traders with the costs being so high but there were still a few odd stands like a guy who will spray paint in a chavvy way your name on a baseball hat?? he was not busy!

  2. Yeah its AS, thought I would give a 21g load a go as have a ithaca to test and wanted a light load as its a bit of a kicker! I will get some spacers and see how it goes. I have just found out the lee wont throw a 24g load and I am back to square one and hand weighing loads.

Is it possible to modify the 7/8th shot bush by adding a bit of epoxy or something to give a 24g load?

In terms of lining up do I need to line the old crimp with the "new" crimp on the lee? if so would it be worth marking the front of the crimp station with a white mark or do you just get it after a few rounds!

  3. I have finally got round to trying to reload some of the homemade shot and have tried a few shells but its looking like it could do with a card to fill it a bit more as the crimps seem to go in a bit further than a factory shell. should I give it a go with a overshot card in the base of the wad or not worry and go shot them!

    lee load all

    c+g data 21g load

    70mm case 23/1.49 gualandi spark 24 21g shot

I have measured 10 charges and got between 22.5 grains and 23 grains, is it ok to have a 0.5 grain variation in powder charges.

I also mashed a few cartridges up on the crimp stage, is this just the risk with using once fired cases?

  4. To be honest I did the foot press thing for one stand after being told about it and im sure anyone who shoots there knows that alot of the stands are on uneven ground so doing it by foot without falling over was interesting! just shot loads of singles hand pressed which had a while to get to me.

  5. Well I think the guy has massive kahoonies for the simple fact he took a bow and arrow to kill a lion, if it took 40 hours to finish the lion then surly it could have turned and eaten the whole lot of them?

If I was to shoot a lion I would need a 800mm lens and x2 converter and a decent crop afterwords!

  6. I normally clip it to my pocket and someone left it clipped to the cage and thought I could just be lazy and press it off the cage and I could not hit any of them, clipped it to my pocket and hit 3 pairs in a row off it. once you get used to it it will be fine! Shot at crabtree the other day and was on my own and a guy there said I should stand on the button as there was no delay, was very odd but got on ok.

  7. Tried on on a 9" grinder and lasted about 20 min before giving up on it, it did stop a bit of dust but not enough to make worthwhile. I have been looking at one of those sandblaster add ons for a pressure washer which seems pretty good but not bought one to try yet!

  8. "It will be free for a year for users of the previous operating systems Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1. The price for new users and after the year has yet to be confirmed".

    Not so free then?
