  10. Hi Jay Guess what "Mark Simkin" here and I'm still shooting up at Mid Norfolk with Dave, Arthur still pops up there but no longer shoots (well he is about 92 now) saw him this morning having a wander round whilst we shot the 100 registered. (Dave was referreing as he does now and then). Mid Norfolk are still open Wednesday evenings all year round (floodlight sportrap and skeet etc. this time of year). When the clocks change they also open Thursday evenings Dave, I and another mate Jason tend to go most Thursdays at 17:00 - you'd be more than welcome to join us if you're about. - Have you still got the 425 ? Cheers
  11. As others have mentioned, not anything like it used to be per fire. I've also heard rumours that it will close very soon as the land owners (not the club owner) are developing or at least going to use the land for something else. Barrow Heath has a 100 ESP registered this Sunday and is not far from there, otherwise Cambridge GC as others have said (not been there myself yet). Hope you fire a few off.
  12. Can you post the gun ? Is the bottle 400cc .
  13. Ad says 28" barrels, ticket on gun says 30" ??
  14. Best bet is to pop along to a clay shoot, Barrow Heath is near Bury you could get a good selection from any stand bin to start you off. They have shoots every other Sunday usually.
  15. Now sold - sorry if it bumps couldn't see option to edit original post only quote or reply.
  16. Hi Chris J I'm sure it could be unlocked but I have no experience of doing this. Perhaps other members know of the best way(s) it can be done. No worries if you'd rather not. Cheers
  17. Ok thanks for the info I'll pass and leave for someone else
  18. Hi Richard Auto is approx 51" or 130cm, only slip I have that fits it is 53" end to end. Cheers
  19. Hi Richard Could well be interested, do you know the max length gun it would take, I have an auto that is a bit longer than the norm, I'll just measure it end to end and drop you a pm. Regards Mark
  20. Blackberry Torch 9800 AS NEW Blackberry Torch 9800 on Vodafone, this was a replacement new unit received after sending one back for repair, the (shop said that VF were replacing some with new rather than repair). Therefore it is as new and as such still has the protective film on the screen and edges (even on the back of the slide up screen) so not a mark on it. Comes with 4gb Micro SD card, original box and unopened accessories, also included is a genuine Blackberry desk dock / charger. Looking for £120 ono posted special delivery. Would also consider swap for decoying equipment to similar value. (magnet, decoys, hides etc). Included: BB Torch 9800 handset + battery 4Gb Micro SD card Charger + UK 3 pin adapter Micro USB lead Headphones / Mic Microfibre screen cloth Original CD and Instructions Genuine BB desk dock / charger + micro USB lead. 2 x unused screen protectors
  21. If you are talking about the ones with 2 arms and a seat, where 1 arm can bend over to throw rabbits and you can "supposedly" stack 2 clays on each arm ! Then don't bother, as the other poster mentioned stick to British made. Our Sunday straw baler club bought one and they are not great, the "wobbler" joints are not great as you need a spanner to loosen / tighten but can only do a quarter or half turn so they take an age to change. They don't seem to be able to throw a clay very far or very fast (nowhere near as good as a bowman)even with the springs tightened up. The string release, when pulled did nothing, the arm stayed where it was. The arms also look to be made out of something similar to aluminium windows frames. I'd say it could be improved with a little work, we may look to strenghthen ours a bit and may replace the throwing arms as we have a couple of guys who are good at that sort of thing but not all they are cracked up to be. All in all I wouldn't recommend.
  22. Just a thought, if anyone is also registered on Claysporting.com they could start a thread and link to this one. I tried registering on there last Wednesday, just to see some pics of the Essex Masters that someone posted, but although I got the validation email I still had to wait for Admin validation. This never happened and my account was deleted / lost by Thursday morning. Tried again last night, and still not validated, perhaps I have a hackers email address or something and "Denise" as some refer to, doesn't want to approve me. Cheers
