  1. I've got a 07 Combo. Probably the worst van I've ever driven and I've driven a few!
  2. But 'The Mating Sounds of South American Frogs' and 'Frankenchrist' are probably the best albums ever made
  3. Then call out an engineer as we need the money this time of year Before you do that, check that the control valve on the gas meter hasn't been accidentally knocked and become half closed. Seen that quite a few times, will affect the gas rate at the appliance (more on the hot water). As this thread suggests, leave it to the professionals.
  4. Combi boilers have a specific flow rate of hot water. i.e 12 litres per minute at a 35 degree rise. When most people run the bath tap they whack it full on, consequently if you've got 18 litres per minute through your bath tap the boiler won't get a chance to heat it up. This time of year when the water coming into your house will be approx 4-7 degrees it will make it worse. Try throttling the tap back a bit when filling the bath. You might also have problems with your boiler but try that first.
  5. On a worcester 240, to change the diaphragm is a 20 minute job. Only turn off the cold water mains, no need to drain the heating. 8/10 screws and one 1/2 nut to remove. Change the o ring on the slip coupling cos it will leak. (its next to the diverter valve and connected to the nut you will undo). Be careful not to lose the black cap on the spindle or the clip that keeps it in place.

Are the leaks from the screwdriver type slots on the isolation valves on the heating flow/return pipes?. If so either change the valves or get some internal leak sealer http://www.fernox.com/?cccpage=super_leak_sealer&sub=5 and try that. Works a treat.
  8. The 28i dosen't have a diverter valve so its probably the flow switch (the CDi range has a diverter valve). Make sure of the model as there is a 28i Junior, 28i RSF, 28Si, 28CDi and they're all different. Could also be the thermistor/sensor.

TRV - thermostatic radiator valve. Allows you to control the temperature of each room independently.
  11. Are you that sure? Do you think that all your headshots hit a spot that gives immediate death? Do you think they could also hit a spot that just gives paralysis and the rabbit is fully awake why you walk over calmly to pick it up? I've shot a lot of rabbits heart/lung shot and they don't run for cover, just fall over and kick like head shot rabbits. We just assume because we hit the rabbit in the head that its instant death, not always the case though is it? Anyone misjudged a shot and shot your quarry through the eyes? You'll know what I'm talking about.
  12. How could you licence or ban air guns in countrys that have been using them legally for at least 100 years? Can you imagine how many are out there. Even the Meteor has at least 2 million sales. No chance. Are they going to ban deep fried Mars bars in Scotland, cos' they do much more damage!
  13. Meteors are very easy to assemble/disassemble if you have a few basic tools. Try it yourself and do a home repair. If you don't have a spring compressor you can quite easily make one youself. If your not confident about it theres plenty of help on sites such as this.
  14. Where that be then mate Clanfield
  15. Welcome Shaun. I'm just up the road from you.

    Airgunning

Sorry, that wasn't very helpful. It can be very hard to get somewhere to shoot but it will come. I, personally have never got any shooting by sending out letters. Sent out loads and only ever got 1 reply (saying no). Face to face is the best policy. If possible, if you have something to offer them, like a trade(plumber, electrician etc.) offer to help out with few small (and I mean SMALL) jobs around the place. Don't do big jobs as they will take the ****, just enough will do. Hope this helps.

Get out and knock some doors like everyone else
  18. It does seem like a lot of work for a 30 yr old rifle. BSA made over 2 million Meteors, so they're not hard to come by. Why not get a full power secondhand rifle, save yourself a lot of time. Just do the basics on the Meteor and enjoy it for what it is. A good quality plinking gun, although I used to hunt with mine as well
  19. Replaced the piston o ring, breach seal, trigger spring(all £1 each) in my mk5 (been broke 10 yrs) and it still chucks out 8.5 - 9 ft/lb. It was my first rifle and still has the original spring. With a bit of TLC could be even better. A classic gun
  20. Why are u cocking the rifle when filling it?

    Pellets

Milbro Caledonian. Class pellets, better off throwing the whole tin.

  23. thats the weight of 1 of his legs.
  24. They do need rolling occasionally.
  25. Lee, if thats for Bazza, I think he'll be better off with a club with a nail through it!
