  1. Shot the land for the first time had 12 birds for 8 guns no birds released some drives with good potential we had 40 shots and every gun got shooting which made it a very successful day in my eyes. Only fed one rough patch and they got straight up and all flew back over beaters but that drive we saw about 60 birds in there which is quite good considering only been feeding it for 3 weeks and with a couple of feeders. so next season we are planning on releasing some more birds now we have a idea of how the land works.
  2. I cant point at a target as i see 2 images as both eyes are the same i see 2 images when im looking with both eyes open either at the target or two images of my finger
  3. I'm ocular eye dominant and it's a pain only recently gone like it I couldn't understand why my ratio went down so much until I checked my eye dominance
  4. Whenever I try to point my finger at something in the distance I either get 2 images of my finger or if I'm focusing on my finger I get 2 images in the background. I've noticed my shooting has got really bad recently and discovered this and trying to find the best way for shooting with it or if there is a way of changing it to right eye dominant which it used to be.
  5. Hello As the seasons drawing in ive been trying all season to bag my first teal but I haven't been in the right place at the right time I set myself a target of getting one before i turn 21 but 2 season with no luck just loads of cold wet mornings out. So im looking for a space on a flight pond with the chance of teal anything around the suffolk area but willing to travel. Im willing to pay or offer shooting in return. Many Thanks Ben
  6. Got mine back I took him with a neck shot so lost allot of the cape I now know for the next one if I'm keeping it take a chest shot but really pleased with how it's turned out was abit worried that it would be looking at the ground with the limited neck on it.
  7. ive got the t20 and ile see how i get on with that and go from there cheers for the advice.
  8. What ir iluminator is recommended for the photon the more range the better Thanks Ben
  9. i have found that when they start doing this whenever i take them out for walks after work i will throw some stop commands whilst im walking them on the lead and at heel to bring them back to basics i find it easier to manage it and occasionally throw in one at distance and don't always recall the straight after mix it up and don't always make it like a training session just in usual daily routines.
  10. ile let you know depending on the weather.
  11. I have some land that the duck and geese quite often flight over and if the weather is good this weekend light cloud and a almost full moon, i was going to try using a large plastic cut to look like a small splash to give a good background with some decoys on it. This probably sounds a crazy idea but i thought i could possibly work?
  12. I have 4 greylag all good eaters and a Egyptian i dont know what they eat like but im sure if cooked properly they are nice. All shot this morning.
  13. Greylag geese free to anyone who wants them stowmarket area near bury st Edmunds. Thought I would offer them to someone who can't usually get hold of them. If not they will be turned into burgers tomorrow. Pm me if your interested.
  14. Phone up and say that there is someone shooting where they are not supposed to be and if ive already spoken to the if the police have a issue they can phone me and check that it is me out shooting.
  15. i only ever if shooting where it is almost defiently going to have some old tree hugger or a townie call in and then plod comes out and ruins my flight but there is only one piece i do because there are always complaints.
  16. 4mm swa will be sufficient. Personally i would put a 6mm in ducting just in case they change the heaters and they want something slightly more powerful and if its in ducting you can always upgrade the cable in the future.
  17. 38 Acres might produce a big bag just have to be the right conditions and of course the bird there are many factors that affect the size of the bag. You need to put allot of leg work in. I've personally got around 10,000 acres and usually prime pigeon shooting grounds but this year there have been no number and I've not even bothered going. Probably have been the possibility but wrong place and wrong time.
  18. Tried rockets with little if any success. farmer is quite happy with the job I'm doing managing them they have been on his fields allot less now they have been shot and it's better me doing it than someone else who could come along and shoot far more and them end up being thrown. But if anyone is interested in there area I'm sure there will be more and it's more homes for them just send me a pm
  19. Basc membership if you haven't got one and do the wildfowling permits they do and you can try loads of different places before you decide if it's for you.
  20. They have been de breasted. And before judging they have to be culled as they are causing damage and unless you want to pay for the damage they cause there's not really another solution I never dump stuff i shoot unless it's not edible and a pest. As for not finding homes I've got people who would usually take then but I've been unable to drop them off today and they needed to be prepared tonight at the latest really in this weather.
  21. Exactly not allot of people can get hold of wild geese so I thought it would be nice to offer them to someone on here
