  1. Thanks! Should have added it will be used for everything.
  2. Hi all. Back after a long break (kids, moving house etc). Managed to keep hold of my cert and cabinet but not my guns. Really fancy a supernova but stuck between a 24" or 26" barrel. I did have a 26" Maxus which I loved and recently shot a 26" SXP which was great, but for some reason I'm drawn to the 24" supernova. So which would the PW massive go for? Cheers.

    FWB 300s.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, much appreciated. I was hoping for a bit more so I don't think I'm too far off the mark. It is far from a wreck, with a reblue and a tidy up it would be a really nice gun. I will give it a quick spit polish tomorrow and stick some pics up. I was thinking along the lines of a TX as I have had a couple previously along with a Prosport. I have been down the PCP route of S200/400, a couple of 410s then a HW100 which I foolishly sold after it lay idle for a while. I really do fancy another springer as it's the simplicity that appeals to me.

    FWB 300s.

Think I posted this in the wrong section last night as it seems to have vanished so will try in here. To cut a long story short, clearing the loft out I stumbled upon my old FWB 300s last weekend. I bought it as a project a few years ago as it needs some work (reblueing, stock refinishing etc) but it is complete with diopters etc and it is a straight honest gun. I've not shot an air rifle in anger for a good while now but after a bit of plinking with the 300 I fancy another full power air rifle after only shooting loud stuff for the past few years. Is it worth anything as a trade in or would I be better off mothballing it? I've had a look online but prices vary wildly, before I take it to my RFD how much should I be looking to ask for it? Btw, this isn't a thinly veiled 'for sale' post I'm genuinely looking for impartial advice before I have my pants pulled down. Thanks.
  5. Need a cheap trail cam to try and help catch whoever is repeatedly damaging the wifes aunts stables. Would love to splash out on a bushnell but I really don't want to risk it being stolen or smashed up. Looks like I missed the boat on the Aldi cams which looked ideal. Amy other similar cams knocking around that anyone can suggest?
  6. My Ford Ranger Thunder. Use it for everything, work, shooting, fishing and carting the family around. Great for drifting too
  7. Thought his documentary on the raid on st nazaire was fantastic. Looking forward to this!

    Wasps Nest

Got rid of one in the summer using expanding foam and a bin liner. One was most chuffed with ones self (and I only got stung once lol).
  10. Have an 04 Tdci 90 bhp Connect which I have owned from new, no real issues other than usual service stuff along with a couple of droplinks, an alternator and a couple of glow plugs. Does 40 mpg on average and is a pleasure to drive. Looking for a new Limited model at the moment.

    Hudl Tablet.

Cheers, couple of good links there. Looks like you can't go wrong for the money. Looked at one today and have to admit it's not quite as sexy as an ipad with the wider bezel but was quite impressed with the screen for the price.
  12. Pfffft. Everyone dances like that when I watch anything back on my broadband connection.

    Hudl Tablet.

Looking for a tablet for my eldest who's nine. Was looking at the basic ipad, but at the rate she manages to break her ipod screens etc I begrudge paying out that kind of money. Will only be used for playing apps etc which as I understand it are easily downloaded via Google Play, so it doesn't have to be anything spectacular. Seems a cheap deal at £119 but I can't help but wonder if there are any drawbacks? No previous experience of android as the rest of the family are ifreaks whilst I'm stuck in the dark ages with a Blackberry that needs the battery pulling out every other day. Anyone own one?
  14. My HW100 when I was skint with young kids. Was a proper tack driver. Keep meaning to pick another one up. Sold a 525 around the same time which I shot really well with, had sleepless nights at the time they went but needs must.
  15. Thanks Scottoj18, I appreciate what you are saying. That would be great if you could make any suitable suggestions, cheers.
  16. Cheers mate but that is way over what I would like to pay! Are the cheaper cameras really that bad? If you watch back some of the footage of the 700tvl's on youtube they don't look that bad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_amyZzT8X8o not exactly hd I know but it would give some kind of idea?
  17. Thanks for the suggestions, think that the sentry gun is winning at the moment Tbh I have been thinking of putting CCTV up for a while, never had a need for it, more to fuel my obsession with anything remotely to do with technology. As I posted yesterday, my neighbour has promised to replace the panel but if he doesn't any time soon I will replace it for him. I had previously considered fencing off the fourth side but put it off as it would look odd and also due to the cost involved. In a stubborn way I don't want to shell out to fence it off because some ***** can't be ***** to control his/her dog. Might be the only way to put an end to it though.
  18. Probably looking at something like this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/500GB-DVR-1x-Sony-420TVL-CCTV-Camera-4-Channel-D1-DVR-Recorder-Kit-Outdoor-/290805938089?pt=UK_CCTV&var=590087064812&hash=item43b56277a9
  19. Think that be the next step, naked but with an ammo strap over one shoulder like a sash
  20. A colleague had suggested placing sheep on the lawn and waiting for a dog to bother them but I don't want to go down that route lol. Was mowing the lawns before and found it had happened again, went round to see the neighbour in question and he is adamant it is not his dog. He admits it has escaped in the past but he assures me it is not down to his dog. He has promised to replace the panel asap, I don't want to do a bodge job as I don't want to create an eye sore. If he doesn't replace it soon enough I will. Although I want to believe him, I wont be able to until I see another dog/whatever doing its business. It always happens around the same area which is roughly 20 yards from the front corner of the house.
  21. Sorry, I forgot to mention that the fence belongs to the neighbour and he is responsible for maintaining it. I had thought of putting something temporary up or even replacing the panel but I don't want to start something where he thinks I will maintain his fence. Have a load of that steel grid stuff that's 100mm square that you throw into concrete foundations, might stick some of that up for the time being.
  22. We have a small plot of well kept/lawned land that came with our current house (approx the size of three/four tennis courts) which is fenced on three sides by our boundary fence and by two neighbours back garden fences. The fourth side runs parallel to our drive and down to our house and is open to anyone/anything that walks past the top of the drive. For the past 12 months we have had a problem with a dog fouling on the lawn. I have only ever caught one dog in the act which belonged to one of the two neighbours whose back garden shares a fence with us. He has a damaged fence panel and for whatever reason hasn't replaced it. He has just spent 50k plus on an extension and recently bought two new cars so I'm fairly sure the reason he wont replace the panel is down to lack of funds. I'm 90% certain his dog is to blame and the reason he wont replace the panel is so that his dog is free to roam my patch late at night. I haven't confronted him as I have no evidence other than the one time I caught his dog in the act. On that occasion he was apologetic and offered to clean the mess up but I had already sorted it. The area is used by my three young children as a play area and I have spent quite a bit of money on proper swings, slides, trampoline etc and maintain it as it's a normal lawn. They had some friends over at the weekend at one of them managed to roll in a freshly laid Richard the third and then transfer most of it into my house. I like to think I'm a reasonable man but I'm getting close to losing my rag, the only thing I can think of is to install CCTV under the front eave of the house to cover the plot so I can see who/what is resposible. Looking for a hard drive type recorder with a camera that can film day/night. Don't really have a budget but sub£150 would be nice. Would prefer one of the dome types as they look a lot neater. Any suggestions welcome! Thanks.
  23. Thanks lads. I've since put a dedicated nut feeder up and it is being completely ignored, think the black sunflowers seeds might be next (fussy gets). Don't want to stop putting the mixed seed out as the Robins love it.
  24. We do have sparrow hawks in the area but we never tend to see them near the house. I have been watching the feeders quite a bit today and it does look like they are after either what looks like to be either curushed sunflower hearts or peanuts. DO you just use any kind of peanut or a specific type? Will try some chopped peanuts and see how they go, it does seem to be that it's the greenfinches that are chucking the most out, Thanks again.
  25. Thanks for that, is it worth dedicating one feeder to peanut and is there any particular type of peanut to go for? I'm using clear feeders with a half inch opening both sides, the tits will sit on the feeder and fling seed out until they get to one type of seed and fly off with it. 5 minutes later they are back doing the same thing.
