  1. Needed a decent case for air travel, found this great deal on Ebay, he accepted my £86 offer +pp even on his own website it works out £118, my deal £101 all in, elsewhere on the web they are over £200, reviews very good, waterproof, dust seal, a lot of Americans prefer to Peli. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SKB-3i-5014-6-waterproof-utility-Case-with-layered-foam-base-and-conv-foam-lid-/281955237028?hash=item41a5d77ca4:g:ab4AAOSwsB9WBRsG
  2. Maybe it's me, maybe I am looking into this too deeply, with a suspicious mind but I find it quite dangerous the amount of centre fire's I see on ebay. Not listed of course, Ebay in their wisdom will not let you sell an airsoft or one inch bladed kitchen knife, but a spear gun or long bow that can kill a Grizzly bear IS acceptable, but that's another matter. People selling their scopes, but using pictures of it on their rifles, picture sharp enough I can see the calibre on the barrel, recognise which rifle it is. All it takes is someone to buy it, hey they can re sell it, or buy anything else you are selling and raise a dispute over it, or maybe you have a 14 day return policy anyway, boom, just given your address to any Tom, ****, or thief....someone that knows you have at least one firearm in the house. Maybe I am looking into the situation too deeply, but we all protect our identities, put guns in the car when people are not looking, no kids about, go x directory, and them slam a Sako on ebay.....every time I see one I wince...duct tape anyone...... ...
  3. I would put a bottle of Whisky on his door step with a note, if it's a bluff knock back you may win him over, if it's true it wont do you any harm at all (you might get one back someday) good insurance policy and it wont cost much!!
  4. I would buy the 'Cheeky Girls' I would like an up to date picture mind, maybe they have not aged well.
  5. I too have had a Theoben, such great blueing on the actions, non FAC though, one thing I can certainly recommend are the Bowkett modertors, carbon fibre, and usually top tests on them, great for bunny bashing.
  6. I agree with what your trying to say, but ****** don't register cars legally, and they never carry id, or the car is nicked, legal does not usually work with them.
  7. Hi, A 1750 or im3100 etc , any condition considered for a pending flight! Many thanks!
  8. I have been through the last two, like us all. My Father once said "all we will be left with is balloons on sticks" Guess they will ban that someday too. Pathetic morons, but sadly with the blessing of the non shooting fraternity, and 80% of the scared public, if I hear "but why do you need a gun" one more time..............
  9. Wow, thank you so much for taking the time, great great advice, truly appreciated. Thanks to you all..
  10. Gypsies with dogs, lawless bunch of thieves. Now I am not saying we should chase 'Them' with dogs across fields, that would clearly be inappropriate..... I have seen them at lakes fishing. I doubt they return any fish caught.(or have a license)
  11. Hi, yes, your right, I have emailed them so I have a response in writing thanks.
  12. One thing that is utterly confusing and wrong in my mind is the lack of rules we are all given, well we are not given! You apply for a gun license, have no criminal record, police interview, check box security all that stuff, slam, in the post whoopee got it! So you go to a gunshop and buy a shotgun for example, who ever told you you cant take it on a bus in a gun slip, or whoever said you could? I find it absolutely bonkers the lack of rules or teaching given, it is a bloody gun after all. Germany, a test to pass before you can FISH, Canada, a huuuuge book to read and tests on trajectories, gun safety, EVERYTHING. no pass, no gun. I understand most of Europe identical, Austria from memory too, actually I believe if you screw it up there, that's your lot, I believe a practical test too for hunting, but don't quote me. UK naff all, they just rely on our common sense, well, I know some quite thick people, nothing stopping them getting a license in the right circumstance. Then we wonder why we get things against us in the press and we get demonised, I am happy for a rule book and extensive test. I can't drive a car at 31 mph but I can buy a gun with NO FORMAL advice, bonkers.... Good luck with your bike, I would write/email and carry the reply with the Police letterhead, email address on it with me at all times....
  13. Hi, I am flying on Holiday to Canada late summer and wish to take two shotguns, also taking tons of fishing equipment!! Has anyone done it, any advice? I am going out via Gatwick, I have got and filled out the Canadian declaration form, 5589E, I believe there is no form to fill out her re Police, although should I tell them?? (I know you do for Europe) But it does not say anything on the Police website non Europe. Can I take both in one locked approved Peli case? (3 shot Beretta auto 12g, one bolt action BSA .410) Actions open, no ammo, trigger locks on. Any advice at all would really be appreciated, G.
  14. Yes, my RFD has disappeared (he does this....) and my local shop will not send. Benelli quality at half the price f2f Bexley, Kent.
  15. Will check with my RFD, my local shop will not ship, will advise.
  16. Hi, after the deluxe version with the chequered stock, and better woodwork, all considered!
  17. Hi, yes, postage is an option, so sorry, none of these replies reached my Hotmail, very weird, need to change my settings, G
  18. SORRY GUYS ALL SOLD NOW!! Thanks for all the advice. Best, G.
  19. Well said, only downside is shell prices as mentioned!
  20. I have a Beretta A304, I know in the states they were sold as the A390ST (according to ***********'s review Gunmart 1993) so I guess all 390 barrels fit, it that right? Does anyone know where I can get a 26 inch mc one from??
  21. Thanks for your input, again very valid, I understand your sentiment. I love the old, I have been shooting for over 37 years, and ALL my shotguns are very old, they have soul, visibly all it would be would to change a few grams of steel with an alloy (unseen) choke, and she gets used again. I once saw a Holland and Holland ex rook style rifle barrelled to .22 and threaded for Moderator, now that is awful! I have an old W Richards rook rifle, re bored to .410 but with a FULL choke, most ex rooks are always cylinder, I take it hunting and bust clays with it, it lives, it gets used, I did not do the work, I bought it like it, if it remained a rook rifle it would be a dusty unused wall hanger with a pitted barrel. Thanks for your comment, it is much pain I 'fuse' old with modern, but means it will live again. Very funny people want me to sell it and buy a new piece of junk made in China, by machine, that's okay, but to make usable a real Winchester is horrendous?? Unthinkable? How can you? You have to see the Irony in that? Did you see the video above......
  22. Hi, like Gingercat said, all know guns are all different, and will pattern dependant on many factors, your right, I can squeeze a bit with different wad options but for me it goes into the shop next week, I want full choke! Thanks very much for all your opinions though, much appreciated. Just had a peek at the competition, Norinko and Chiappa, I prefer my Winchester because it is a repeater, BOTH these copies are single shot, before you say what does this idiot know, watch both these clips, they don't cycle, they should save money and not even put a lever on them :0 I had no idea they did not actually 'work' The short Chiappa has the same action, ignore the lack of erm wood obviously.
