Surely senior BACS staff have better things to do with their time than respond to the gripes and complaints of a minority of folk on here who seem to be obsessed with ancient history (eg John Swift) and the minority who use 410s etc.
Maybe the moderators or admin need to intervene?

Lets see what happens across te board when lead is banned and steel/eco wads are the only shells available at hugely inflated prices.
Small informal clubs will be decimated never mind full blown grounds.

Try Andy Cullen at Alnwick

Yes, but what is your opinion?
Evolve and go with steel or other alternatives - not difficult
-
There's a lot of nonesense in steel shot threads my fowling pals have no problems with it nor do folk i know who use 20's with steel for woodies etc.
Evolve or die I guess.
The old farts have struck again on this thead!

Looking at the last few comments the old farts continue to drag up the past instead of adapting and getting on with life.
-
Sadly this thread has been dominated by a few negative, BASC bashing old farts who just repeatadly pick fault.
High time they either grew up or shut up or were barred from posting.

Here we go again.....

The Barbour Dunmoor Fleece Jacket features a cosy outer trimmed with suede-effect shoulder patches and a pure-cotton lining in the iconic Classic Tartan. Handwarmer pockets and quilted patch pockets combine with an inner wallet pocket for added practicality, and a two-way zip makes it easy to access midlayers without needing to fully unzip the jacket.
As new, worn 3 times but doesn't fit me properly as am in between sizes.
£120 local collection possible or post at cost. Will attach pictures later -

That’s what I thought too. Gunshops always ask to see your SGC.
Also, advertisers on here always request sight of a SGC when buying cartridges.Does Scully know something we don’t?
OB
you do need an SGC to purchase or written authority from the SGC holder and the SGC.
Nothing needed to possess

Great shop and a look in the cartridge store is a treat if you can wangle it!

There are one or two folk on this thread who are more than boring and repetitive and should be blocked.
-
There used to be some sensible reasoned debates on this forum.
This thread dealing with the most important change to shooting seems to have descended into another BACS bashing exercise and going back into ancient history gripes which are no longer relevant.
Wake up and evolve, change etc.
You may not like them but they are our biggest and most influential representative body on this topic.
Where are the NRA, NSRA, CPSA etc with constructive input?
We need to adapt and move on or become dinosaurs like some of the contributors to this thread.
Why should small bores, muzzle loaders etc be exempt?
Bismuth or other alternative may cost a bit more but surely better to spend a bit more than give up?
-
More left wing socialist dross.
Why any one with half a brain would vote for Labour is beyond me,

I have a great deal of respect for anything that the Bontoft family say about cartridges. I think it is sound advice.
Of course it could just be a sales ploy to get us to buy longer and more costly cartridges!

Gave up using waders a couple of seasons ago and find life much easier - just wear wellies and german army goretex trousers and I dont need to wade where I shoot.
Much easier walking and if need to keep out of mud a bin liner is sat on
-
Be much better going for an Aya no2 in 16- far better built than most of the competition
-
muzzle down in full fat coke, loosened my maxus stock chokes
Anyone?

Was beating at a shoot on Saturday where a chap from BASC was a gun. He used Gamebore Blackstorm steel 5s and was killing birds just as well as those using lead loads.
