Yep am very happlily single after wasting 10 years and thousands on a whining, whinging woman........ Got rid of on my birthday a couple or 3 years ago and never looked back.
Never did the 'its our money bit', split the house hold costs and then the rest was mine/hers to do what we wanted with

Why should a wife be upset by you spending your money??
How much does she waste on make up, shoes etc.
I would tell her to keep her nose out or get rid of

I have to say, rather like you, I don’t necessarily expect a 410 derogation, more a case of hoping that we get it. There are several sound arguments for this, which I hope the org’s are going to make a strong case with. Regarding a new non-toxic load, the biggest shooting market in the world, the USA, haven’t found one yet, despite lead being banned in most states for hunting. It is therefore hard to expect a new wonder shot material…. although I would very much welcome one. Tungsten is great stuff, but incredibly expensive. China holds 80% of the known global supply - and ‘add value’ by offering finished products only. If a new massive reserve is discovered somewhere else…….?!
There is apparently a large deposit of tungsten on Cornwall that cant be mined because of the eco looneys

Would be interested on moredetail, costs etc.

BASC certainly influenced the continuation of wildfowling at Caerlaverock. Without their support and that of SACS it would have been closed to us four years ago!
Committee are universally pro BADC other than me

I am currently 13 months into my application for an FAC, in June the police said they were processing May 21 applications, I contacted them again in early September as a referee had moved house only to be told they were still doing May 21 applications and to be patient. Then this morning I had an email to say it will be some months yet before we get to applications received in September 21.
The current situation is beyond farcical, and I really wonder why we pay fees to our so-called representative bodies, they are all ineffective and pointless in the current licensing fiasco and other than insurance cover they provide appear to very little that produces results.
There was coverage in the sporting press lately on a BASC report on how bad they licensing system is but why waste money telling us something we already know?
High time they took legal action on a class action basis to force change but of course don't want to make the effort or rock the boat.
My subs won't be renewed which mean that I will be dropping out of 2 clay clubs and standing down as Treasurer of my wildfowling club, all of whom insist on BASC membership.
When oh when will they provide an effective for their membership to end the current licensing farce?

It hit the barnies on Solway hard largely as they are l think articially fed by Rspb and wwft on reserve ponds to attract a paying audience so are in unnatural densities thus spreading the virus.

Does it really matter, get out and enjoy your shooting while you can.
Personally older i get the more attractive clays are.
No need to turn out on cold, wet days for game shoots, much cheaper than syndicates, no pheasants to prepare when you dont really like them to eat, cafe on hand for after a couple of rounds.
Am of to get a px value for my game gun today and chop it in for a decent sporter.
