  1. Hi, thanks for the reply. Can you tell me which model it is please. I know the premier model is built on a 12g action and i've found them too heavy. The Jubilee 16g is on a proper 16g action and nearly 1lb lighter, which i prefer for walking gun days. Cheers
  2. Looking for a Lincoln 16g Jubilee m/c. Not the Jubilee Prestige (too expensive) or the Premier. Should have 28" barrels, about 14.5" stock & weigh just over 6lb. Can't find one at a shop anywhere as I believe they no longer make this model new. Can anyone help...... a large wad of £20's is waiting. Cheers
  3. A friend of mine has suffered a major break-in whilst at work, and subsequently a number of shotguns have been stolen after they gained access to his secured cabinet. If anybody offers you the following guns for sale can you please contact Nottinghamshire Police or PM me please. Greener GP 12b Martini action; serial number 24237 Sarasquetta 12b sbs sidelock with stock extension; serial number 218604 Webley & Scott 410. bolt action; serial number 21995 Belgian folding single barrel 410; No visable serial number Miroku o/u 12b; serial number 58033PZ Lincoln Jubilee 16b o/u multi choke; serial number 160184 (this gun has a 2 tone stock from a rubber extension pad) Baikal 12b sbs non ejector; serial number C33031 Also a BSA Airsporter 177 air rifle. This seems and organised break-in as they have left a lap-top and other items that were on open display and curiously no ammunition was taken. Any help would be appreciated.
  4. Been on our last game day today in the midlands, and by god were they going. High pheasants and partridges like cruise missiles! Hit some cracking high birds going back with the wind as a walking gun, then shot like a numpty when standing. Just thawing out. Pigeon time now!!!
  5. just been sorting through the cartridges for beaters day and come across some old paper case 16 bore carts.... pneumatic No.3's in 6 shot from the 'Edinburgh Pneumatic co' eley maximum in 4's & 5's, stamped eley Kynoch ICI a full box of eley grand prix, unopened, 15/16th oz of 6 shot Smith's of newark in 6's and some very fetching Selliers in that bright orange. I think they should be shot and then kept, do you have any ideas of value and are they woth keeping unfired?
  6. i use a lincoln jubilee 16bore, 28" barrels m/c. find it ok for clays but carts are a bit pricey. magic gun for walking though, it only weighs 6lb! shot alot of carts through it and never had a problem. good guns in my opinion. made in italy by fair.
  7. it would be great if all manufacturers stuck to a colour scheme, but in the name of advetising they seem to do as they like! i shoot 16 bore only yet have english made carts in blue, rottweils's in green, saga in red, selliers in orange and paper case hull's in black! if i didn't shoot the one caliber i could see a recipe for disaster or at least a loss of fingers!!! Yo FM, all things yellow go in separate bag.and are quarantined. The biggest issues with safety is refusing the "You wanna try these missiles, they kill at xx range". People that except this generous and social offer, dump them in their pockets and in all in the excitement of a drive thread a 20 bore down a twelve. Old boys dont get caught ofcouse but with newbies it's a licence to blow their cocks off. There you go. FM I've been around long enough to know what's what having witnessed a terrible **** up. I like yellow 'cause at least you can see them and pick 'em up. I'd like to see a system where guage is matched to colour. Like Red 12, Blue 16, 20 Yellow, etc etc. There is enough red tape and ******** around the UK at the moment so once we get back to basics then let's think about pushing for some sort of cohesive, sensible options for the cart manufacturers. They would never think about sorting out a bit of a safety issue amongst themselves would they? I think the british firms should take the lead in this, meaning what is allowed to be imported should follow british colour codes (once established). If they were half bloody clever they would use this issue as a way to stop overseas products coming in to the country? Best post I've read in a while. When I was at a gamefair last year I was browsing around a reloading stand when one of the owners came up to me and said what's wrong with this 12 bore cartridge. I said is it because it's yellow? He said yes and said he wanted to get yellow 12 bore cartridges banned. FM
  8. try rottweil's, they do an ounce load in 5's or 6.5's and i find them great for game and pigeons. just cartridges do them or you can get them at newbold shooting ground or order via the world sporting web site. the only saga's i've ever used have been 28g 7's for claying. not that impressed with them.
  9. Myself and a friend have a couple of days driven game coming up and are looking for some tower practice around the Nottingham / Leicester area, does anyone have any goos idea's where we can go, especially on a sunday... tomorrow!
  10. If you had a 16 bore, I know someone who could help you out. i'm always interested in 16-bore cartridges. let me know if you have any for sale. ta!
  11. i would be interested in the 16bore cartridges, how many do you have and do you have a price in mind?
  12. justcartridges do plenty of 16 bore carts ranging from saga (£140 a thou/ plastic wad) through to three crown paper case (£230 a thou). i find with 16 bore carts you get what you pay for, but for a vfm cartridge i'd get rotweils as a compromise of price over quality
  13. i currently have 2x 16bores. a lincoln jubilee o/u mc and a french sbs non-ejector. the lincoln is a cracking gun (£600 with an awfull rizzini 12 traded in). i use it on clays, pigeons and driven game when i get the chance, and would not consider going to another calibre now. recoils ok provided you don't go for big and fast loads. i use saga gold 7's for claying (£140 a thou) and rotweil or three crowns paper case for everything else. try one and you'll be suprised,
  14. i've tried everything from eley vip's to saga's and rottweil's. can't see the point in paying a fortune just to break clays so buy in bulk from just cartridges when passing. they do saga's in 7 shot 28g load (plastic) for about £120 per thou, and they are as good as anything else i ve used
