For 8k I'd look at a 300tdi with a galvanised chassis and bulkhead. Won't get the agro and easier to fix than the td5.

Lab vs Springer or Cocker Spaniel (Pup v Trained?)
brettguise replied to southwest_colonel's topic in Dogs and Dog Training
A wise man told me. A labrador is born half trained and a spaniel dies half trained. Think he hit the nail on the head. Got a lab never looked back. -
Hi Guys, Looking for a cheap .22LR preferably BRNO or CZ with a short barrel around 16" to use in the motor. Doesn't need a scope or moderator gun only will be fine. What have you got? Thanks Brett.

My pup now 17 months old was left from 8 weeks old whilst I worked, she also slept outside from day one and a mighty fine dog she has turned out to be. I know I can leave her anywhere she wont whine complain and will do as she is told. She is woken up at half 7 in the morning walked fed and put in the kennel at 9, she is let out the kennel at 6 and put back in the kennel when I go to bed around 11. Shes done that since 8 weeks old without any problems at all. They also don't get separation anxiety like I see some dogs with.

Parker Hale Moderator re assembly question
brettguise replied to brettguise's topic in Guns & Equipment
The slimness of the parker hale fits nicely on my varmint barrel. I did use the bar yes. Im wondering If Ive lost one baffle cleaning it lol. Its on my ticket now as well. If anyone happens to have any baffles lol. -
Going rate by me varies from £120 - £180 for a spay. No idea on dew claws.

Hi guys, gave my parker hale moderator a good clean I noted the order everything removed and it seemed first out came a spring then 14 baffles and then a washer. Upon re assembly cup facing towards the exit I put the washer in first then 14 baffles then the spring. This didnt work and it was rattly. I tried a series of combinations and the only thing that would work was washer in first 13 baffles cup facing out then the last baffle facing in with spring on top and screw the cap on. After reading various forum topics some have 17 baffles, I can purchase a replacement set which suggests 15 baffles and I have also seen a few people say there is 14. Some clarification really and how it should be properly assembled. Am I missing anything? I only have 14 baffles 1 spring 1 washer. It all looks lined up and there's no movement in the moderator, would it be ok to use as it is now if nobody can suggest anything else?

Went on the saturday, scurried the dog, shot some clays and purchased lots of goods. The dog did the best out of all, she had a waterproof bed an equafleece, some more training gear and other bits and pieces. Loved it this year really nice day out.

Thanks guys ill keep them in mind If I cant find the 16", really after the 16" for easier car window shots.

My girlfriend has horses so I just walked mine round on the lead and shouted and grabbed the dog etc until she left it

Then when he drops you give him firm discipline until he doesn't drop then allow him to go off the lead. Go walk him around a horse field.

Dog hair..... a strange question but bear with me !
brettguise replied to VINCED 686's topic in Dogs and Dog Training
Get a kennel simple as. Kennel insulated and a heater for winter. The dog will love it it gives you a break and when the dog comes in muddy it wont have to come in the house until dry and clean. Honestly wouldn't have it any other way now. Don't get me wrong the dog comes in as soon as I finish work until bed but in the day I know shes safe, not destroying anything and its a place if I have guests etc round she can go up the kennel if they don't like dogs. Makes life simple. oh and get a lab.
