You do the stocks your self ?? Or did they come in that finish ??

I have not touched them. Out of interest what is best to wipe them down with ? Tend to just wipe with oily rag at moment when i wiping barrels down

  2. Loving the side by sides compared to my escort semi. Getting the hang of shooting them too. Just don't look at the gun but keep focused on target.
    They are a bit addictive

I have from left to right the winchester 23 pigeon which is 3 inch magnum and handles a treat and has been opened up so I whack steel through it.
Just picked a up the Ugartechea/Parker Hale 604 sidelock ejector which sorted out 38 crows a charm at weekend.
Then an Ugartechea which has seen better days but still hits stuff is nice to handle.
Going to be a fun winter and I don't need any more lol

just ordered the decoys of amazon how has people got on with them ?

I'm also going to be looking at getting some of the ones from Decathlon  but will see how i get on with the amazon ones first

one question what line and weights are you using to tie them down ?

    simon

I just used a bit on mono fishing line and a 5oz plain lead but I only shoot splashes so don't need any thing advanced. They seemed to work ok. I have noticed this season they are quite faded but I also topped up with some of these dakota's

Dont put us all into that category please. I have been going for food and drink when out cycling, once a week, have a meal and a couple pints then cycle home. Not everyone gets mashed and hugs mates. And to be fair pubs ive been in this has not happened at all. Some are even closing at 8pm round here

People like you are the minority

  5. I have the toplock done on my side by side a good few weeks ago.  When it came back it was ultra smooth and I could tell it had been oiled up inside.
Of late though I have noticed the safety sticks when the right barrel is selected. If I swap barrel and go back it works ok. Was toying with the idea of taking it apart and if no obvious problems applying some red grease I have for bicycle use ?

    Winchester  pigeon  grade

  6. I think a lot of the lack of posts is people playing there cards close to there chests. Especially in land spots. Syndicates swoop in and buy all the rights and the one man and his mate can soon lose out.  Bit like fishing it don't make sense to publish a productive spot

  7. Me and my mate booked the week off and we have been up at 4am every day since the first and out in the evening. All our fowling is inland on splashes and stubble but its still a beautiful thing to part take in.

The excitement of ducks appearing out of the darkness and whizzing over your head on there way to some distance water is electric. We have had 3 ducks so far but not found the geese. Typically they were where we needed a week early and gone again by the 1st but sure they will be back.

  8. This is the bouncer you stick on an ff6 on it and it lifts up and down. Looks great but I have to walk to my perms so need to cut down.

from nick tait and used half dozen times if that

with the ff6 it cost 200 quid. Bouncer only not the ff6

    £50 inc postage

There’s some fake ones knocking around, unfortunately being sold (unwittingly or otherwise) by Amazon & eBay traders. You’ve got to look at the battery contacts apparently; genuine have flat contacts, fake have coiled springs.
I’ve got a (genuine) pair that live in the truck should something happen to my Peltors, and they are damned good for £40.

Cheers bumble I did see that mentioned in the reviews. Mine so far have been genuine. Good value for money
