  1. At what cost. Prob the same as the rifle.
  2. 17hmr is home office approved for fox upto 100m. It's ok in Hampshire.
  3. I had 3 cases split tonight. Of 13. Never seen it before! Upon checking my remaining ammo 2 live rds were cracked also. Right down to the shoulder. I'm taking them back because I believe qc should be better and I'm not paying for ammo that has a high chance of damaging my rifle.
  4. IMHO you can't go far wrong from 120mm hesh. It'll do anything you want from rats upto Syrian tanks.
  5. I have a luxano for messing around and it shoots everything without a problem. Check that everything is as it should be. Don't see the need for a 3.5 my self but that is only the chamber size. Sounds like it has a fault.
  6. I have a slot for a wizum but am reluctant to buy second hand as I don't want to buy a rifle with a shotout barrel. What's the life expectancy of a wizum barrel?
  7. Great statement crosshairs. If you don't consider yourself Christian then don't take Christian holidays. It's very hypocritical. You don't take Hindu ones do you? Religion still plays an important part in society today. I think of the church as a tool to be used to spread morality in a time where, as discussed earlier, it is fading. Morals and standards in this country were founded on the catholic/Christian faith, and the diminishing following of the church is becoming more and more noticeable. Are we losing sight of what is right and wrong?
  8. I had an old one y reg. it was brilliant. I had the turbo with cold weather pack. All electrics worked. The best thing I found was that it was so quiet on tick over, and 4x4, it was great for shooting from. Plus the sunroof was so big you can stand in the rear foot well and be out the roof. Rabbit safari hunt. Great car, reliable and cheap. 28 mpg average
  9. Am I correct in stating 30 m radius from site?
  10. Chill out guys. The box Was placed by an other employee. So no trespass was commited. However, permission for the box is my next approach because other activities in the area will be affected by the occupation of the owl box. The other activities have been continually operating around the nesting/box area and nothing was said until someone caught wind of 'clay pigeon = shotguns'. Normal public hysteria over shooting sports.
  11. Jeremy Clarkson has it pretty much sorted.
  12. Loads of experts on here mate, just do it in your shed. it's a one off. You'll be fine. Just don't breathe the Ali in.
  13. Yes I like to think I am too, but not to the extreme of my employers h and s dept. Cheers 955i.
  14. We are on the east of new forest. Im hoping to open up to invited public only vert shortly. (6 months) as there is not much about, and what is, is very very expensive. So I'd like to be able to bring people in for cheap shooting. Thanks for the advice do far. I'll try the barn owl trust.
  15. I work with Ali alot. It'can be nasty stuff mate. If you're considering grinding, don't inhale any dust, it's poisonous. Use an Ali disc to avoid clogging of the normal metal discs. This can lead to discs breaking in action! Get the jigsaw out. You can do this in your shed then. Jigsaw, file. Done. Anymore help, I'll be happy to shed some light.
  16. I've just set up a clay shoot on some waste land, at my place of work. I'm very lucky. They have paid for the first trap also. Everything is in place, I have attended cpsa course and I am now qual'd up to run a small shoot safely. However, today I received a call from the site health and safety/ conservation and environment geeks and they have gone nuts about it. A bird lover has placed an owl box in a tree and now a barn owl has moved in. Stop your shoot immediately. Before its even had one shot down range. I'm gutted. Has anyone encountered this problem before? I'm sure that we (society) cannot let the nesting habits of birds prevent us from carrying on with sport? Help please?
  17. I have the pcp version of this. I believe falcon later made it as fn19? I agree with you they are very very accurate
  18. Do you have an o/u? I'm sorry bud but I don't know your experience with guns? In my exp I would only use a sxs for walking round a field to put a bunny in the pot. They are very light and uncomfortable to use. An o/u is heavier but still very usable as some of the recoil is taken up with the extra bulk and wider butt pad. I know people have said it already but looks like Russian wins the day.
  19. Why do you want a side by side so much? They kick like a mule and have narrow stocks. I can't imagine shooting 3" is gonna be very nice. Especially if your going to be doing a busy patch. 30+ carts. Ouch. Get yourself a hatsan camo. You get an extra pop then. And if it fails (I say if not when) buy another. Of course I realise that if your heart is set on a sxs then that is the only thing that will please you.
  20. Wildfowling= muddy and wet. Get a gun that's not going to bother you getting it wet and muddy.
  21. Is it defo beaver? I know down here, Southampton, we've got some coypu. If it is beaver, it's nice to see them here in the uk.
  22. Thank you very much Scott, gun shoots a treat and looks great to go with it. 6 hours and 300 miles but worth the drive.
  23. Moderated 22 lr from back of truck is the best way to bag lots of bunnies. Trucks have diesel clatter tho. I did my best shooting from the huge sunroof of a Subaru forester. They are so quiet and 4x4 system is plenty good enough. The sunroof was so big I could stand in the rear footwells and use my bipod off the top of the windscreen whilst my driver/mate lamped. Good times.
  24. Prob worth a drive to see it. Are you about over Easter?
  25. My cz groups fine. Remember how much the wind will effect a 17gr bullet. Don't expect a good group after cleaning. It needs to foul up again. Allow 15 rds for that.
