Am with you. Lovely stuff. Their vodka is pretty good too. Though of course they sold out of the crisp business a bit ago
-
Cheers - I shall get emailing my mates !
-
Sounds brilliant - what do they charge ?
-
JDog - write a book, I'd buy it !
-
I saw 2 when shooting at Forthampton on Friday. First one missed by two guns, second one came out sideways from some maize and so not near enough to the line
-
As a cheaper option today's Shooting Times has 2 pages on him plus your favourite picture !
-
Really sorry to hear that - best of luck !
-
That's a bargain - Goldsmiths gave me £900 for mine (same age) as a part ex recently - and that wasn't instead of a discount on the new one as I'd already agreed a price whether I did a part ex or not
-
That's a shame. I'd keep looking on there though - lots of odd days came available last year, though often with only a week or twos notice. And plenty of choice geography wise. I've had a good few days over the past years and they've all been good. Good luck !

Have you looked on guns on pegs ? There were some days in Bedfordshire the other day when I was browsing

Hi - is 18th Dec still available ? There are 3 of us....... -
Cheers - that could be handy as I've only got 4 crows !
-
Guys - any thoughts on using crow and pigeon decoys together ? I've got a few crow decoys that i have never used and given the odd crow often has a look at my pigeon decoy patterns I thought I may mix things up ?
-
Am with you on that - I managed a couple of hours on my new permission today. Less than a dozen pigeon around, and only managed to get a few of those to commit. And one remarkably slow crow ! There are nearly as many in my garden currently. And dozens on a field of rape that was cut the other day on my other permission - but they've asked me not to shoot so as to not spook the young partridge ! Fingers crossed they are going to combine the field over the lane from my house shortly - I've been studying the flight lines from my sunroom (comfort !) and there are two that look good - they converge near a convenient dip in the fie
-
Of course I did - it was cheaper than many of the other options ! Have dined like a king all week, and had some amazing wine too. But good to be back home to the Ebrington Arms fish and chips. In fact I best go post about them on the 'best restaurant' thread !!

L'Enclume in the Lake District is awesome. Think it's just got a 2nd star. Best tasting menu ive ever had, and ive eaten in a dozen or so Michelin starred places. Really liked Nathan Outlaw's place in Rock, and took a client to the Hand & Flowers a while back in Marlow - now that is 'pub food' in another league ! And if you're ever in Ireland, then the Cliff House hotel in Ardmore - the chef is a genius and well deserving of their one star No worries - get yourself down there - finest mashed potato in the world !
-
But it's actually called Dinner, so I'm afraid no, it wasn't contradictory at all !
-
Not contradictory in the slightest - Dinner being Heston's restaurant in the Mandarin Hotel in Knightsbridge
-
Was really disappointed last time went to the Ivy - my wife's fish and chips suffered from the fish being overcooked and my hotpot (their signature dish) was pretty average. We went to Dinner in the evening and that was awesome.
-
Had lunch at Hotel Splendido today (fabulous), just felt I had to share the price they were charging for their rabbit main course - 39 Euro !!! Oh, it's in Portofino, Italy in case any of you fancy selling some to them !
-
When I used to live up in Saddleworth - Buckleys the bakers had a sign on their vans "no pies left in this vehicle overnight". Always made me laugh when I saw one
