  3. Would you take £25 collected?
  4. Will you split, I'd be interested in the net at the right price. Have more decoys than I know what to do with but could always use another net
  5. Would you post in a solid cardboard tube?? If so how much?
  6. How about a swap for cash? (subject to it being posted, empty)
  7. Hi Simmo, What size is the bottle? When you say it needs a DIN charging system, do you just mean the whip with a gun appropiate adapter on the end? i.e Does the bottle have the valve and DIN thread on. Would you post? Cheers Ben
  8. I personally believe you can have too much movement. I've stopped using magnets, I dont rate them, especially if the paint on them is not matt. The gloss paint catchs the light very easily and glints when spinning round which must put the birds off. I now use sillosocks and hypaflappers on sticks to great success. If the wind is too strong I've taken the flappers in if I've had birds turning away when they get close. Turning away has usually been much reduced after the flappers have been brought in. Other issue is hide and camo, I've noticed better results with being a bit more thoughtful about hide setup and covering myself up too.
  9. Price and pics please, very interested, been waiting for a o/u.410 to come up locally for a while now. Please PM me if you're up for a straight cash sale.

It is for sale then?? I'm interested. Couple of questions though.......... Is it in test, does it have a certificate? I assume there's a pressure gauge and hose attached? Will you post it? (empty of course) How much do you want for it?
  12. Probably being a little hasty but was wondering what criteria need to be met to obtain an "open" ticket. Only just had my first FAC granted, however, have been a sgc holder for 5 years and been 0.22LR shooting for rabbits mentored by a FAC holder on and off for about 3 years. Was thinking of leaving it a couple of months and applying for a "open" 0.17HMR. I have heard people say that the 0.17HMR is, for want of a better word, easy to get granted due to less prone to ricochets etc. wondered what peoples experiences were??
  13. Thanks, get that up on the wall tomorrow then. Based on that I reckon I could comfortably get 600 rounds in the safe, thats a few less than I've applied to hold but I'm sure he would have knocked me down to 500 or less anyway.
  14. Got the FEO coming round for my coterminous SGC and FAC next week. SGC is a renewal and as such I have the approved gun cabinet on the wall but its only big enough for the shotty and the rifle if the FAC is granted but no room for ammo. Reading the firearms security guidelines it says I should lock away my ammunition, ideally in a seperate locked compartment inside the gun cabinet but words in the guidlines would indicate this is not compulsory. So, I just happend to have a mini steel safe I can anchor to the wall as a ammo store (multilever, keyed, not a battery digital type). So was wondering, having never bought any before, how many 0.22LR rimfire rounds do you get in a box and to make sure they fit in my safe, how big are the boxes? I'm guessing they come in 100s? about double the size of a pack of 20 fags??
  15. Gun tape probably has little effect due to the fact my shooting partner can't sit still for 5 minutes and insists on yelling at me in the hide cos he's got his ear plugs in Trick really is to sit still and pop up last second, but Woodies have keen eyesight and anything to help mask your outline and straight edges like gun barrels helps I think. Especially as the pigeons on the permission I have seem to be quite cautious.
  16. Full police guidlines here http://police.homeoffice.gov.uk/news-and-p...pdf?view=Binary It does say that a cabinet should be located so as to "frustrate attack" but not in a location where putting your gun away is going to be a hassle and therefor when human nature kicks you cant be bothered to store it safely, not saying you'd do that but I should imaging depending on your loft access my cause the FEO concern.
  17. Beretta 391, 304 or 303 or Franchi Raptor. I was looking earlier in the year, didn't want to spent more than £350ish. 391 and franchi was a little out of price range so went with a Beretta 303 Its 28" m/c barrel, paid £150 for it earlier this year, needed some cosmectic tlc but for sitting in a ditch and throwing in the back of the truck I dont want a pretty gun. In fact, I've gone a covered it in camo tape anyway. Its had loads of use for pigeons and rats, has cycled everything I've put through it so far and never missed a beat, which is more that can be said for my mates hatsan. Hatsan's are fine, as long as you don't get one that was screwed together in the afternoon everyone in the factory went down the pub for lunch. From what I've read about them, some are no trouble, others are nothing but trouble. However, I think they come with a good warranty.
  18. Once again your thoughts appreciated. Which scope would you reccommend for a 0.22lr when I get it. A local dealer is selling CZ452s packaged with Hawke optics (plus mod, etc) for what seems a reasonable price, subject to a little haggling. Not sure which Hawke model is fitted though. Looks like you can spend next to nothing and go all the way to well over £1000 on optics. Is it really just a case of you get what you pay for?? Was thinking of a budget of around £100-£150 for optics, about £30 for mounts, am I dreaming or is this a reasonable figure to start with. Secondhand is an option.
  19. All the bolt on bits/mods and speed of the semi first caught my interest. However, I've shot a B/A with a friend before (think it was a winchester) and have to agree in my limited experience I've not really ever missed anything cos it ran away whilst I was reloading. Appreciated rats my change this but when shooting with my shotty they're stupid enough to come back out of their holes fairly soon after bolting down them. I dont like the fact that a jam seems an almost certainty with the ruger, I want to shoot it, not have that niggle in the back of my mind waiting for the next jam and mess about sorting it out. Same reason I bought an old beretta 303 instead of a new hatsan. my 303 has never missed a beat, my mates hatsan has jammed more then a few times. Looks like my mind's made up, just the next question..... which CZ452? Will have to go handle a few and get a feal. Thanks
