  11. Lift up the boot carpet, near spare wheel/tyre goo there should be a white or yellow plastic object I can only describe as a she'wee!! This is inserted into the filler neck to hold the self sealing mechanism open.
  12. Try this; http://www.gumleaf.com/ I have a pair of the wide fit and they are superb. Looked at all the top makes but still bought these, I'm well chuffed.
  13. Remember where the majority of pattern goes when you pull the trigger. You need to keep the barrels low, and don't let the impression of speed fool you and make you race ahead. The standard rabbit is actually far slower than your average crosser for example, the brain is tricked into thinking the rabbit is very fast due to the landscape behind, which you see rushing past as you swing. I'm fairly new to the clays, but rabbits I find easy now I have got my technique fine tuned. I tend to touch the clay, then pull ahead slightly (only you can judge the lead).
  14. I too run my own garage and MOT station. This subject comes up regularly, I sell lots of tyres, but even if I specially order tyres for someone, if their tread depths are still above 3mm I always advise they have wear left, 'do you want me to hold off changing?' Most people are so astounded by my honesty they almost disbelieve me!!! I usually end up showing customers the 20p tread depth check and sending them on their way. It isnt just the nationals that do the naughty with unsuspecting customers though, we have an independent in town that is terrible for it, trouble is people eventually become wise, i've picked up lots of customers through being honest and transparent. Its a sad fact that the trade is seen in a bad light, thanks to the big nationals and unscrupulous cowboys etc. My advice is find someone local, honest and reliable - yes you might pay a little more than if you go to the nationals, but will the nationals fit a bulb at ten past five on a friday when youre leaving on a holiday etc? If anyone needs tyres etc in south Leics, I'd be happy to help. Liam.
  15. This may be in my head, but when I first bought my current batch of power blues, I shot a slab straight away. They had been stored in a cold container outdoors. I wasn't impressed really, dirty barrels and didn't seem as good as the Express HV's. Once they had been in my warm utility room for a week, they seemed completely different cartridges!
  16. I don't find they kick at all, I'm using 28g 7.5's and they seem quite smooth. Then again now my gun fits, even 36g BB's don't bother me. I haven't tried English sporters, so cant compare for you.
  17. I have to say Express power blue! I was a Black Gold man but used 750 of the power blue now and they're sound. I shall be buying more. I think with cartridges its down to preference. I haven't been disappointed with any cartridge I've used now, I've shot Gamebore, Hull, Express and Fiocchi. If they were available locally I'd be using Fiocchi Top 1's but they're not so Express it is. The price is good too, paid £170 a thou for power blue. They break clays, enough said!
  18. My local ground, and I have to say I find all the staff great, I bought my gun from there and will always buy from them now, always honest and very helpful. Great layout too!
  19. No no no not a Milner Kit! I rebuild these engines regularly and the kits are most definitely not O.E quality. They are attractively priced but I've used one previously and it failed prematurely. O.E is gates, so that's what i'd go with, or Dayco is top quality too. As a precaution I would ALWAYS replace the crank pulley and bolt. Nice easy job, but do it right first time with decent quality kit and it will last. HTH. Liam.
