I am selling my Nitesite Eagle, only used 3 times, good condition and working order. Looking for £600 (costs £849 new - note this is not the new Rtec version). Based in Warwickshire and I would prefer for it to be collected. Have pics to send via email if anyone interested, pics too big to post here. Let me know what you think. http://www.nitesite.com/eagle

Hi folks, I am contemplating moving to Norfolk (possibly within a 10 mile radius around Great Bircham). The most important question is what are the shooting opportunities in Norfolk. On the face of it Norfolk look like a great county for shooting, Wildfowling on the Wash, Deer stalking in Thetford forest (BASC scheme) but what about small DIY pheasant / partridge syndicates are they common, do they have waiting lists are they expensive, I am a member of a small DIY syndicate where I live at the moment and would like to think that I could get into one if I were to move to Norfolk. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Returns On Reared Ducks/ pheasant / Partridge
Scotty99 replied to Diygamekeeper's topic in Gamekeeping and Shoot Management
Around 35% return is the norm for pheasants. So if you put down 550 you will shoot about 190. If you have eight days this will give you a bag limit of around 24 each day. Eight guns wil be four birds per day per gun on average. -

Still got my original paper one issued in the 1970's it expires in 2023, so intend to keep using it. No issues so far in this country and I can still rent a car with it in the US, handy as I go there every year to visit my son and daughter in law.

Introducing Gun Fire to Your Dog
Scotty99 replied to new to the flock's topic in Dogs and Dog Training
NTTF, The Starfire system that you refer to is it the Gunshy Cure System or the Gunshy Pevention System, they do the two and I want to make sure that I get the right one. I am assuming it's the Cure system as this has the 14 tracks that you mentioned. I am training a wire Vizla and want to make sure she does not become gun shy, by using this and the other techniques you have mentioned in this section. Ian, -

DIY and guided pigeon shooting
Scotty99 replied to lee-stroud's topic in Sporting Opportunities (Paid)
I live in Nuneaton and would be interested in thus will send you a PM. -
When do go to a good gun shop ask them to help you with the fit of the gun in terms of its length of pull and try a few to see how they come up to your shoulder and make sure when it does your eye is looking along the top rib. Also get them to check which is your dominant eye, before deciding what to buy.

Yes I want something different, longer barrel, open sights and unmoderated (my son lives in the U.S. - Georgia - where moderators are not really allowed surprising given their gun laws) so I can take it over and hunt Whitetail, Hogs, Coyotes, Gators and Black Bear. Will probably put a scope on it for longer ranges, but a lot of hunting in Georgia is in quite thick forest.
