  1. I have a SGC had this for 3 years now, just applied for my FAC and dropped my letter into the GP last night. Got home and had a call asking me to pop back in and pay £20 for this to be processed. £20, not too bad and if you work it out over the 5 years. But a faff and as I have a SGC already this to my mind is £20 for a tick and a stamp. Hay Ho.
  2. Heading South on Friday shooting at 2:20ish, first time
  3. Would as many have said make a lot of sence.... Hod on, no sence has been used todate, so sod all chance of that being the case. Do they need to have gun cabinets to store them in?? Could be a good excuse to buy a bigger cabinet
  4. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-27420858 link above states 500,000 air "weapons" in Scotland? so 1 in 10 own a air weapon? really?
  5. Cluny Clays in Fife all proper tarmac and the same for the carpark. Even most of the paths are not too bad
  6. No I have got a 40g weight left, it came with I think 40g x 3 and 20g x 2. And if I place a finger under the hinge pin it dose not move This "balance" is the one thing that struck me in the shop when testing the 686 EVO and the 692 they were both the same weight, but really you would put money if asked that the 692 was weighing less.
  7. Well, managed a quick wee play today and I am chuffed to bits. first 6 clays all hit. Got to say it was night and day over the old 686. Just felt right. On the question of recoil, I did feel it was a fair bit softer. I was using the same Blue Dimond 28g loads which I use with the 686. One thing is the 692 comes with 2 recoil pads, I was using the thinner / firmer of the two so if the recoil is an issue you could pop the softer one on.
  8. Well, as way of an update. Looked at the two and tested the two out for "fit". And walked out with the one with the adjustable comb, the interesting thing was the guy in the shop was very much advising not to bother with the adjustable one. But after he had tried them out back to back changed his view of this. One surprising thing was the one I got has a second bead fitted Will be a long wait till Sunday for its first outing
  9. I shall, I will not fib I am really looking forward to getting this. I have to say I did look at getting a 682, and yes the 692 is a LOT more than a second hand 682, every review I have read says it is a nice improvement on the 682 and sod it you only live once
  10. Well I am as I have got my RFD dude to get one of each in for me to try, I am heading over to see him soon.
  11. Guys looking for some guidance. Have been at this game for about 6 months now and bought a Beretta 686, good gun over all but the “plastic” Xtra wood is starting to bug me so looked at getting this removed etc, also after a lesson was advised to fit a “pad” to lift the comb a bit this has helped, as much as I can tell. But the Xtra wood is still bugging me as too is this “pad”. So after a trip to the Beretta Gallery, I have now decided that the best solution would be to get a new 692. So I have now got two of these now heading their way to a local dealer one standard, and one with an adjustable comb. I have kind of got my head and hart set on the one with the adjustable comb, but is there any real disadvantage in getting this one over the “standard” stock?
  12. Or don't if you want to do anything else this evening
  13. I have just got off the phone to the local chap we use, and asked if he had any steel loads in. As looking at the just cartages price list there is a helpful drop in price and as they would only be used on clays would it matter?
  14. It would save a lot of hassle at the Police end of things should they get a call When we asked about shooting clays off the back of a boat the FAO did recommend that we should give the local police a ring to let them know and have a list of license numbers to hand to give them if they ask.
