  1. its a repair im doing for my brother personaly id scrap it, its junk to me, not keen on pumps for their thuggish looks, (sorry pump lovers its just MY opinion) and mechanics reliability, however as stated, they seem to be a "tuff old boot" and if the man wants it fixing then ill have a go at doing it for him, failing that its off to the rfd for a repair that will prob cost more than the guns worth! think ill need it to be honest

  11. opinions please...having just bought a new shotgun, i asked the dealer about sum snap caps to go with it, he advised that i wont need any as its better to leave the gun cocked as the load left on the hammer springs is ok and cheaper to replace than the ejector springs which would come under load if the trigger was pulled onto the snap caps? is he correct? i would have thought the ejector springs were still under load untill the gun is opened, fired or not.! thanks for your opinions and advice. dave.

  20. lots of choice on the market these days to cut your teeth on, my gun dealer does a good deal on the hatsan at44, a great gun for the money,pcp,10 shot, or as srspower says, air arms s300/310 or 400/410 both good rifles and deadly accurate, plus if you change you mind and want to go back to springers the mentioned rifles are good resellers and you should get your money back on them,
  21. im amazed how common this is...i seem to get this sleeplessness on a monthly cycle sort of thing, sleep well for 4-6 weeks then poor sleep for a fortnight to 6 weeks, lately its been here for 2 months now, seen my quack and all he said was "clear your mind before bedtime",,, well i dun that and it made things worse trying to think what i had to clear my mind of!,anyway seen him again and hes prescribed me some medication called "zimovane" , i take one an hour before bed and an hour later im like a zombie climbing the stairs to bed, and what an excellent nights sleep i get, the down side is that doc says i only get them for a month as they are too addictive, im doing ok now without them but i kept some back for when i feel the sleepless nites coming on! see your doc...he can only help. good luck and if you find a drugless solution let us all know.
  22. had one of these in my youth, long time since i saw one, 30 odd years, good reliable plinker back in the day.
