Just starting out shotgun shooting looking to get into pigeon shooting roost or decoying. I've been rabbiting since i was young using mainly ferrets lurchers and air rifle but have held a firearms license last three years and have added a .22rimmy .17hmr and saving up for a .223 so have started to do a bit of foxing as well.
  1. How old is the dog? Was it playfull mouthing or a bite if its still a young pup sounds like its lacking discipline and needs sorting before it gets bigger but if its not young needs pts simple. How would you feel if you re-homed a dog and heard a kid had been badly bitten its a risk not worth taking imo
  2. Anyone know if burghley are putting lurcher show on both days or is it just Monday? What times aswell cheers
  3. https://www.facebook.com/rspcakilldog No hope for any poor mutt out there sick ***** everywhere
  4. Oh so you wouldn't mind your kid been bit and carried of by a fox? Once is enough imo and i wouldn't want it my conscience and there hasn't just been one incident have a look happened a few times now. I'm not saying there an immediate danger to kids but given the opportunity and if there desperate enough they will go for anything smaller or weaker than it self.
  5. Ok then chief you must know best but if you look want there an incident last year were a little nipper was nearly taken from his home by a fox. IMO a injured fox is a desperate fox and needs dealing with its not right to let the animal suffer an avoids any damage it could do
  6. If it was outside a shop surely theres got to be some cctv footage to catch ******s that dd this
  7. Who mentioned firearms lol. What do you not think fox would take a baby if it was given chance?
  8. Dispatch it before it gets that desperate for food that it starts preying on pets or even kids on chance on an easy meal.
  9. I got same sort of trap as above but use gate catches either side as locking mechanism and nothing gets out
  10. You need to be careful with dog work on foxes do your homework and read all the laws properly and it might help to have a copy on you just incase police/antis turn up because most don't know what they're on about
  11. Agree with the others its overpriced only good thing i found was a cheap netmaking stall there but just full of expensive tat really.
  12. Thanks for all the welcomes a lot of good tips and advice on the site . Cheers joe
