  1. Milli amp? Some batteries go by aH or amp-hours I believe... just a power rating thingy... the higher it is, the longer the charge will last in full use. Or something like that.
  2. I don't think we shooters can be too high up on the recycling chain... I recycle glass, plastic, cardboard and paper, and compost stuff for the garden. But when you consider how much lead is shot over the countryside (Quick calculation... 28gram X 4000 carts) That's probably as much lead as I weigh in just one year. Then there's the plastic and metal empties... I don't think we can justifiably call ourselves 'Eco-warriors' Aah, but what the hell, I do my bit! And anyway, we PAY the grounds to shoot there, so surely it's up to them as pillars of the community to ensure the lead we shoot is not going to make it's way back into the water tables and the empties are dealt with sensitively? There you go... we're all in the clear, fellas.
  3. Yeh, i've only ever seen scopes on a Slug shotgun (FAC of course) I believe Hatsan Escorts have scope rails as standard, and other bits for mounting etc, on the website.
  4. What if The boyfriend was lying? Omigod that's a laff!
  5. Goods must be of reasonable quality, and be able to perform their function whether secondhand or not. Just tell him politely to sort it or you will be seeking help from Trading Standards.
  6. Nice. I'd like a rifle of some kind I think. I could get an air rifle and scope etc for target shooting, but I like the idea of knocking a hole in something 500 yards away. Bit more satisfying that. What are the fees like for joining your place? And I'm assuming you'd have to be a member for a length of time before an FAC was granted?
  7. Tis a manky little shop, but who cares when bargains are to be had! What are you shooting with the rifle Mr Smith?
  8. Yes, we Fifers are a result of heavy in-breeding during the 70's (much like Royalty in many ways I suppose) It's a very nice gun "Duster" (very strange calling him by that as I've known him as otherwise!) Mr Smith - I was there when he bought the Rizzini, and the guy at We're Game seems to like his elastic prices. (He remembered selling the AYA). I think it's pretty easy to come and go with the figures, as many of the older guns he sells would likely be off to auction - where he might get a fraction of the money back. Very nice gun for £50, and having seen the woodwork stripped back today, it's looking very much the part! I'd give it 2 weeks and that gun will be easy to sell at £250+... although he's shooting better with it than the Escort He's had for some time, so it's a keepsie gun. Nice one Duster - see u next weekend for an update, old boy.
  9. Must have cut through the lower intestines. Did that once with a rabbit. It stank to high heaven!
  10. Tried one today... I'm used to heavier guns and this was very light in comparison. Really nice gun though and easy to shoot "gun down". Felt more recoil due to it's weight, but still managed to hit 4 out of 4 on the skeet when I had a quick shot. Way out of my price range though! I quite liked the palm swell, and the one I shot was equipped with an adjustable cheek piece. Very nice indeed, but i'd have to save up 'til I was dead probably!
  11. Hi, I have an Anschutz .410 shotgun for sale. Good overall condition with 3" chamber, a couple of little patches on the barrel which could do with cosmetic attention but nothing major. Shoots fine, and ideal for vermin I suppose... Very scarce it would seem, as I can't find much info on them. Price wise, I haven't a clue really, but I can supply photos by e-mail. I could say £150 or nearest offer, but that's just a stab in the dark!
  12. I'm new too so welcome! Give us a shout if you visit the East coast!
  13. You'd be amazed how much I get that...
  14. I'm from the lovely kingdom of Fife (Near Cluny Clays)
  15. I'm a regular there - And I'd agree it is a really good place to spend an afternoon. Many more activities too... Air rifle range / Archery / Equestrian stuff / Golf and a really nice restaurant. Some cheap cartridges to be had in their gunshop too.
  16. Hi there... I'm Mark. I've been a member of other forums such as Gundeals forums and Airgun BBS for a while now, and I've been directed here by a mate. I shoot mostly (well... entirely!) Clay pigeons - not real ones - at Cluny Clays in Fife, Scotland. (All invites to pigeon shoots would be most welcome!) This looks like a pretty good site, and hope to learn a bit or two.
